Amy Acker in Season 2?

There's been rumors that Amy might not be able to appear as Whiskey in season 2. She's a regular in a new show called "Happy Town" and her contract holds her too it. Even though she's a regular, I only saw a whole .5 seconds of her in the trailer (no exaggeration). Reviews have said that Amy had very little screen time, as well. Hopefully, Amy can do both Dollhouse and Happy Town, and Joss has said that he's willing to do just about anything to keep her in season 2. Let's hope Happy Town agrees (or better yet, gets cancelled!) so Amy can continue her Whiskey storyline that just took off like crazy in her last scene of season 1.

We need Whiskey in season 2. Period.

Totally agree! Was a big twist at the end so they have to follow it up! Plus Amy Acker is a genius!!!!!

Hopefully most of her stuff for Happy Town is filmed already. It would really be a shame if she was unable to return for season 2. She turned into one of the best characters in the last episode. We need more Whiskey!

I'm fairly certain that Amy Acker was billed as a Guest Star the entire season, she also didn't appear in every episode. I'm sure they'll figure something out to keep her on ;)

OMFG. I was happy that she was in that 'Happy Town' show. But now Im not too sure! I'd bomb that town to keep Amy in the 'house! >:(

yeah, they can't just cut out her character. i think they'll keep her on as recurring, but she won't be there too often.

Most likely this is what will happen but I want more! Amy deserves to be promoted to regular! Whiskey/Claire is such an intriguing character now after the events of "Omega".

Hopefully she stays because I really liked her in Dollhouse! It's like a whole new thing for her. From Fred to Whiskey. She's a brilliant actress. I wish she wasn't the doctor though. I'd like to see her imprinted with different personas. It would really show how talented she is at acting out different emotions and characters. (:

I really hope that she stays in Dollhouse, and that Happy Town...goes down the tubes. Her portrayal of 2 completely opposite characters was absolutely enthralling...it's so entertaining that she can play someone as dangerous and twisted as Whiskey, then go back into sweet doctor role. We need Amy, 100%.

i don't think amy really has a choice..

she's a regular on Happy town. that's where she is contractually obligated.

she has no contract w/ Dollhouse. if Happy producers don't let her do Dollhouse, too bad so sad.

I feel like I'm missing something...why doesn't Amy have a contract with Dollhouse? Just because it wasn't known if the show would continue or not?

Most recurring characters (if not all) don't have a contract with the show that extend further than the current season. Only show "regulars" have a series-long contract.

Gotcha gotcha. Thanks Joe! It just occurred to me that I've never considered her a recurring character, and I always thought of her as a main. Hmmm...Hopefully they'll make her a main character this season and we can see more of her!

That's what I wanted at first but her contract to "Happy Town" binds her to that show and no others. If the Happy Town continues, we can only hope for her recurring role in Dollhouse to continue and nothing more than that.

Yea, we'll see how it goes, I suppose. I did finally watch the trailer for Happy Town and I did like it, just not anywhere near as much as I enjoy/love Dollhouse. So here's hoping for...failure?

From what I've heard of "Happy Town" it's... not very good, and might go down the drain quickly.

Her contract wouldn't preclude her from guest-starring on other shows, would it? I think those kinds of exclusive contracts haven't been around for a while... actors gotta work!

They may be looking to clear some space in the budget to bring Summer Glau on board. If Amy, Miracle Laurie and Reed Diamond are all going to be reduced to occasional roles, that might free up enough money.
