The Immortal is, like the other Buffy books, non-canon, and in fact the character in the book is a female (if I can remember all these years later). And it did not take place in Rome.
The book THE IMMORTAL was the first Adult BUFFY book, and in no way connected to the Immortal from "The Girl In Question"
Oh then probably not connected, but at the same time I could see Andrew finding something like that funny if it was the same one.

Ok this season 8 comic series does have some good points to it, but there are some issues i have. Ok first off, the covers look amazing, but the art featured within the book really sucks. Only once in a while do the characters actually resemble their tv counterparts. And the story, well it has its good points, but....I thought a major flaw in season 7 was how the focus was taken off the scoobies and how the potential slayers got way too much attention. I miss the days when buffy and her close group of friends came face to face with the big bads and did their thing without a huge army. Now in this season, everything is so BIG and it feels like it's straying away from what the shw had. At least Spike isn't there to hog the spotlight from the other characters, I think he;'s better off with Angel. But i hope this season 8 series doesn't continue with what i saw in this first issue, more focus on the original scoobies!!!!

Just a little Nit Pick but since when dose Xander say Five by Five??
My friend thought the same thing!!
I think when Faith came along and she always said it became sort of like an inside joke between the three. Much like when Giles says "five by five" to Faith at the end of issue 6.

Im starting to buy the comics now. I just bought this one and read it. It is really good, it captures Buffy very well even though its on paper now. YAY Amy is back... and evil. I always wished for this to happen. I have one quick question though. I think there are four parts to this one. Is all four parts supposed to be like one episode?

Where can I find the actual part 1? I want to read the comics, but have no idea where they are or how much they are.

Your local comic book stores should have them stocked, or at least offer the option of ordering them for you. Otherwise, you could always order them from TFAW.com. Since you haven't started them yet, you could just get the first 4 TPBs instead of individual issues. Individual issues are $2.99 (pre-tax), not sure about TPBs, but you can easily find the prices online too.

Sorry, missed this one earlier. Simple answer, you can consider each of the long arcs to be roughly equivalent to 2 eps, and each of the standalones as an episode. henz, I think, came up with that, and actually matched 40 issues quite nicely to 22 eps. But certain things may have changed now (the final arc may not be 5 issues, but rather 4 with a standalone). As far as I'm concerned though, the whole "22 eps a season" rubric should be discarded. There is no real one-to-one conversion ratio between the past format and S8. Hope that helps.

They are not available online (not legally, at least), but they can purchased from online comic book stores. Unless you don't have a credit card... that may be a problem. Some booksellers also carry the trades... I've seen them at Barnes and Noble. As for not knowing where your local comic book store is, you're evidently connected to the internet, and a quick Google search should solve that problem.

in the start i though that to.. but i think he is speaking of the sound, five-by-five was a way in some war to say if the sound on the radio signal, was clear, the one clear-by-loud. and then the goes from 1-5 at hight and clear, and five is perfect. (don't konw if i made i understanderbell, my english are not as good as i wish) but of course it is refrerring to faith to, it is Joss...
