So I think I kind of love you for this. I've been meaning to go back and store the preview pages to use for reasons X, Y, or Z. Now it's all simple and stuff.

That's correct. These images along with the covers released in online solicitations are all fair game for banners and avatars.

The wallpapers on the DH website are another good source for images, as they give you a really high res version of select covers and often it's just a partial crop of the cover so you get some really nice focuses. Sure, you can link to the thread! Hotlinking only becomes an issue when you re-post the images using the same image code here, rather than copying them and uploading them yourself.

But yeah, absolutely link this as a resource. That's exactly why it's here.

I like the shorter previews rather than the long ones. But I have to say I really don't like the Harmony one although I love her character.

I also found all of these, from the same people who were doing the auction (from this site here: http://www.splashpageart.com/). 11 pages of just the art work from The Chain:

I also capped the 'making of' page from the DH website (like I did the ATF flash preview). Some of the pages are duplicates of what's already there but it was easier just to upload the whole lot rather than picking the odd one out:
