most of the episodes were written by freelancers (episode 4 was written by the comic´s creator) and i think episode 1 and 2 by darabont or the so called moronic producer

However, there is a difference between a 6 ep run, and a full-blown 13 ep season. Especially if Darabont wants to stay as involved with the show as he has so far. The burnout factor seems imminent.

I really enjoyed that. It really reminded me of the first Resident Evil movie, but I like that movie so I did not mind. The last ten minutes were very powerful. I really wish that this season had been more than 6 episodes. I need more.

Great episode.
The final minutes were the best. Andrea and Dale's interactions were so powerful. And I loved when The Doc said stuff to Carl; It was so cute! xD
Set up S2 perfectly. And I can't wait. I'mma have to read all the comics during this break...

I was a bit underwhelmed by the finale, but it was still a pretty good episode. Cheers to S2 (and to Inception on DVD  )!

I agree with Hellbound. Usually each episode has me at the edge of my seat but this one was pretty predictable. It certainly wasn't a bad episode but I think I was expecting a bigger finale, in the sense that they basically ended up back where they started before they reached the CDC.
Can't wait till the next season.

I've been reading the comics all night, and am on issue 25!  Woowoo!
Now that we've seen the show's format and all, what do you guys expect/want Season 2 to cover? Personally, I'd like to see issues 7-24 included, mostly. I think 13 episodes could cover 18 issues, yes? I mean, a good portion of those issues deal with Alan and his personal struggles, and he hasn't been included in to show. Yeah, now that I won't be writing weekly reviews, I will post interesting news/interviews often. I'll also begin reviewing the comics, starting with a review of the latest arc, then starting monthly reviews of each ongoing issue (starting with issue #80) as well as retro reviews of the past HC's (1-6, generally 1-2 per month until I catch up to the ongoing).
For the show I also plan on creating a death chart to track all the deaths on the show. I also want to compare the comic characters to their TV counterparts and see which character works best in each medium, as well as what I'd like to see (and not see) in Season 2.
Lots of stuff planned!
As for Season 2: [spoiler]Snow! It will not only look great on TV and promotional materials, but I just love horror elements in winter settings (just look at how awesome this cover looks.
I'd like to see all the main beats hit on from issues 7-18. So Tyreese, Wiltshire Estates, Hershel's farm and then the prison, with the season ending right as tension boils over between Rick and Dexter.
I'm still worried about the lack of Donna/Alan/Ben/Billy and the ramifications that will have down the line on Carl's character development, but we'll see what happens.[/spoiler]

I loved the uneventful finale, just like most of the comics, where nothing too big happened but you can sense the fear related to the notion of going back out there.
I can wait for december's comic, number 80. This current arc has been very very good

Oddly, the main thing I'm looking forward to in Season 2 (If they do it) is
