I thought this would be a good resource to have, as there is some question about where the Serenity comics fit into the chronology of the show and movie and so forth. So what follows is the complete Firefly & Serenity canon in chronological order.
The R. Tam Sessions (Serenity - Collector's Edition DVD/Blu-Ray) - R. Tam, Session 1 - Excerpt - R. Tam, Session 22 - Excerpt - R. Tam, Session 165 - Excerpt - R. Tam, Session 416 - First Excerpt - R. Tam, Session 416 - Second Excerpt
Firefly (The Complete TV Series - 14 Episodes) - "Serenity" - "The Train Job" - "Bushwhacked" - "Shindig" - "Safe" - "Our Mrs. Reynolds" - "Jaynestown" - "Out of Gas" - "Ariel" - "War Stories" - "Trash" - "The Message" - "Heart of Gold" - "Objects in Space"
Serenity: Better Days (3-issue Comic mini-series) - Written by Joss Whedon and Brett Matthews; Art by Will Conrad.
Serenity: Those Left Behind (3-issue Comic mini-series) - Written by Joss Whedon and Brett Matthews; Art by Will Conrad.
Serenity: The Other Half (MySpace Dark Horse Presents 8-page comic) - Executive Produced by Joss Whedon; Written by Jim Krueger; Art by Will Conrad.
Serenity (Feature film) - Written and directed by Joss Whedon.

i've read this argued about on many a forum and Joss has said that OiS was not his orignally intended final episode - but he's glad he moved it to that position. So am I. As far i'm concered this is canon. Nice work:))

I'll add the two new projects when they are released, but I imagine A Shepherd's Tale will come before everything, and Float Out will be after Serenity, based on what we've heard. It will be nice to see this list continue to grow.

It will be nice to see this list continue to grow. Yes, A Shephard's Tale is shaping up to be a sort of history lesson on Book, probably an extended flashback or something, maybe with an interwoven present storyline taking place sometime after the series? Guess we'll find out in November. Float Out will definitely be right after Serenity. Can you believe it, the first piece written post-film? Incredible. Also, don't forget that the Firefly anthology coming out later this year has new Firefly short stories that will need to be incorporated in some way.
