First off - thanks to Wyndam for re-organising the board. Much easier to read now:)
Can I suggest changing the title of 'post-After the Fall' to 'Last Angel in Hell' the name of the HC? It just looks a bit better:0
Anyway - am really looking forward to having Brian Lynch back in the Angelverse...and am really looking forward to seeing where he takes this story. And now that Tischman and Huehner are writing the 'Angel' we will have writers who are willing to work together to create a unified verse.

I second the thank you, it makes it a lot easier to navigate. I really am looking forward to this comic, I could stare at those covers all day.

(When I click on the Urru cover, it says that the image has been deleted. Thought maybe you'd like to know that, if you wanna fix it.)

I feeling a reread aswell coming on. I actually got lucky and picked up the Spike omnibus last week at a borders that was going out of business for 12 bucks.

I'm rereading his Spike/Angel comics either and there is a HUGE difference between Brian's comics and Willingham's... I'm so excited about these outgoing series! Thank God Brian is going to save our Spike! And I wish Brian to write and the Buffy comics with Joss Whedon!

^^^ That's exactly how I feel! I'm just so relieved that he's thrown Spike a nifty raft to help him escape the Titanic that is the Angel series. And luckily Spike had just enough room left in the raft for all the best characters: Groo, Illyria . . . BETTA GEORGE!

Here's a press release for the series, from IDW:
All-new series begins in October
San Diego, CA (Aug 11, 2010) – IDW Publishing is proud to announce Spike, an all-new monthly series featuring the soulful vampire out on his own and in charge of his destiny. Setting off in October, fan-favorite Angel team Brian Lynch and Franco Urru are back with a whole new adventure, which encompasses Spike’s strange appearance in Buffy #35!
Spike’s first solo series will be his biggest adventure yet, jam packed with battles, action and romance, and explain how he ended up covered in bugs in Buffy. Spike will feature appearances by Angel, Illyria, plus a special guest appearance by Willow! And what vampire adventure would be complete without a villain? This time, a familiar face from the past will arrive, looking to destroy Spike’s future.
“With Brian and Franco back on Spike we're going to see some incredibly important leaps for the character,” said editor Mariah Huehner. “Brian's outline for this series actually shocked me, in a really good way, with where he wants to take the character. It's ambitious, important, and truly epic.”
This page-turning series will also include guests Tok, Beck, and Betta George from IDW’s Spike: Asylum miniseries. Now that he’s away from Angel’s watchful eye, will Spike be ready to take on his own path?
“I think fans will be incredibly proud of Spike in this series. Plus, Willow shows up and there's a great tie-in to some of what's going on in Buffy Season 8. Readers shouldn't miss this," added Huehner.
Spike #1 (of 8, $3.99, 32 pages, full color) will be available in-stores in October. Diamond order code AUG10.
