To celebrate ANGEL #23 being available in PREVIEWS and Juliet Landau handing in our final DRUSILLA script to IDW, I think it's time to do a little Q and A! So ask away, about anything, and I will answer as many questions as I can. I'm not spoiling anything, though, no sir. Maaaaybe if you ask nicely.

Okay,I'll start off.
Have you begun writing the first issue of the Spike series yet or are you in breaking the story arcs mode at this point?

Dunno if this will be a spoiler or not... did Wolfram & Hart disappear only from L.A., or did all of their branch offices vanish as well? (Maybe they're awaiting a government bailout?)

You said on your blog that we will see Beck & Tok again(or something to that effect) and I wonder if that means they'll have their own series or be a part of the Spike series.
Also I wonder if it will take months or years before the Spike series is published.

Is it possible that we will see some familar faces in the two Drusilla issues?

Hi, thank you so much for doing this. I was wondering if there are some plans for the Angel story, or is every writer free to do what he or she wants with the story and characters? And if that's the case; is there somebody who watches over all the comics to make sure that it all makes sense? I don't know if a question like this is okay, but I was already curious about this for a while.

Also I wonder if it will take months or years before the Spike series is published. They won't have their own series, but I think it's safe to say they will pop up in other character's stories. Beck sooner than Tok, for sure. It won't be years before the SPIKE series is out. The thing is, I'm not going to write SPIKE while also writing ANGEL related things. I did it with ANGEL:ATF and SPIKE:ATF, in addition to my dayjob of screenwriting, and it was far too much. I didn't sleep much.

I didn't work on Kelley's issues so I can't comment.

Did Joss have any input/feedback at all on these upcoming issues, or are you working completely Jossless from here on out?

The Gunn issue of ANGEL deals with and pays off things we set up with all throughout AFTER THE FALL, so it's a continuation of our work there. As for the SPIKE series, I think I'm dancing by myself when it comes to plotting this one. Joss is crazy overworked, that one. Hopefully, if you like SPIKE:ASYLUM, SHADOW PUPPETS, and SPIKE:AFTER THE FALL, you will enjoy the SPIKE series.

Hey Brian. Thrilling to have you back dude.
Few questions:
In just a few months, the Drusilla issues will be out. Any word on who will be writing the Angel series after that, and for how long?
What is the Drusilla two-parter titled?
Aside from your Angel issues in July-September, will we see you back on the Angel title before the Spike comics?
The bit you told the Buffyfest folks about Spike attending an "Angel" movie was fantastic. Any other bits of plot you can tell us about the Spike series?

The bit you told the Buffyfest folks about Spike attending an "Angel" movie was fantastic. Any other bits of plot you can tell us about the Spike series? Hey Pat! 1. I think Chris Ryall is gonna spill the ANGEL beans at the San Diego Comic Con. 2. I call it DRUSILLA. Sometimes I call it DRUSILLA AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE which is weird because there is no character named Ted in the book. 3. It's possible, but if so, not for very long, lest the SPIKE series be delayed. 4. Hmmmm. SPIKE series. I don't want to give too much away, but Spike gets a sweet new pad. And a room-mate.

Oh no! He was so funny kicking Spike's ass I assumed it would be him.
....
Unless you said that to trick us...
****
Other than Spike, Angel, Gunn & Drusilla, which Angel/Buffy character would you want to write a one shot/series for next?
