"Too bad Prue's gone, eh, Paul?" To which Ruditis replied coyly: "Is anyone ever really gone?"
God I hope she at least appears once

That is a nice photo. I know a lot of people on here like Charmed, but in general I never thought of the Charmed audience as the type to read comics.

I loved Charmed, but I really think they need to leave well-enough alone. This show seriously jumped the shark in Season 6 and to continue to drag it on in comic form just seems like a money-grabbing scheme.
As much as I enjoyed the earlier seasons of Charmed, you have to admit it's not a very well made show. There are so many inconsistencies and it does, at times, take itself too seriously.
Plus the later seasons became all about who could wear the racier outfits, Alyssa or Rose. The constant "what are the girls turning into this week" thing just became tiresome.
That said, I loved the early seasons.

Do you think we would be allowed a Charmed section on here somewhere? I would be happy to keep an eye on it

I dont think Phil is on much, but I will PM him anyways

I just read the interview with the creators about the comic. Why won't they just admit that they saw that Buffy season 8 was successful so they thought it would be cool if they did that, too? It's pretty obvious...It even picks up a year and a half after the series ended just like season 8.

Well, I think Buffy's the first comic to continue a story with a structured "season", but following-up on TV shows and movies in comic book format has been going on for a long long time. To say that Zenoscope is ripping off Dark Horse by having a continuation of an existing show is absurd. But if Zenoscope started advertising their Charmed series as "Charmed: Season Nine" then yes, I would be able to see your point.
What makes Buffy S8 special is that it's not just only an official continuation of the TV series, but the fact that original creator Joss Whedon serves as "Executive Producer" which almost never happens for comics. Scott Allie even said that comics do not have "showrunners". Also, Joss writes for the series and Season Eight utilizes writers from the TV show.
Even IDW's Angel doesn't have what Buffy has. Angel has no "show runner" and it's clearly visible because of the messy storytelling and lack of direction. Joss even said that IDW's Angel is not a "Season Six". Also, none of the TV writers ever wrote for the Angel book.
Anyways, now Zenoscope wants to continue Charmed with comics, which is great for fans like me. But remember that the original creator Connie Burge left the series in 2001 and Brad Kern, who pretty much took over the series after her departure, have no involvement with the comic. As far as I know, the Charmed comic isn't advertised as a "Season nine" or even official canon for that matter, so I don't see the "rip-off of Buffy Season Eight" aspect other than the fact that the Charmed comic is a continuation of the show.

That said, I loved the early seasons. Are you kidding me? Buffy "jumped the shark" after season 5... shit even season 4 sucked. Now they continue the story in comic form. (A comic which sucks IMO) To be honest, I'd rather see what happens with the Halliwell sisters rather than what happens with Buffy. The whole season 8 arc sucks.

OMGGGGGGGGG THAT IS AWESOME I always wondered what happened to Tyler. Piper had said for him to keep in touch and he is never mentioned again, which is one of the things that I hated about Charmed.
