Buffy and Xander r both so stupid for not realizing that that mark has SOMETHING to do with the moon and a star!
Also, issue one is only pt one of The Long Way Home. pt 2 is issue 2

Man, if it ends up being Caleb...I really can''t wait for Joss to explain how a man that was sliced in half., top to bottom, survived!!!

Plus guys I highly doubt it's Caleb, just remember he thought all girls were wrong and dirty. Plus yea the whole sliced in half thing.

We can rule out Caleb and Warren. Caleb was sliced in half and hated women anyway. Warren had a bullet through the heart, skinned, then Willow burned his body.

has death really stopped joss before though? really? Im sure if he wanted to he could come up with some spiffy explaination. but i hope it is new....that would just make it more of a continuation imo.

Well I suppose. I can't think of anyone logical character that could be connected to Amy in any way for it to be her boyfriend. So we're just going to have to wait and see.
A side note, it's great to get this much speculation from only one issue!!

I got my copy a couple days ago and have read it a few times! At first I thought "Eh..." but after the second read I started to see it's greatness. I can definitely hear the television actors saying those lines. I'm super excited for the next issue! I really wish this comic were bi-monthly rather than monthly. 4 weeks is simply too long to wait!

Where was willow??!!!!! i miss her! and giles...and spike. it seemed so short! i want more!!!!!!!! is #2 out yet??? please?! cant wait! i love that its back! i hope the boyfriend is caleb. he was so much fun to hate. as for the whole govt. thing= it would be so easy for riley to just step in and fix....but i hope he isnt the true love kiss that the summaries for the following issues talk about....cuz i mean, that would just be lame. I agree that it was short. I was rereading it and left with the sense that nothing really happened. I mean, we got to see what Buffy's doing now and found out that Amy's alive with some creature thing and the Army thinks that Buffy is a terrorist. But there wasn't a plot with a beginning middle and end in the issue, so it didn't really seem like an episode.

Isn't the first issue just like, the first act of an episode, or am I insane? I think that each part represents an act, so four parts=four acts=1 episode, so the first 4 issues make up The Long Way Home, the first episode, which sucks because it will take 4 months for 1 episode.

Really? I hadn't heard that before. I had read somewhere that the season would be 24 issues, which would be like 24 episodes. I think that resolving the Dawn as a giant thing could be a plot. But aren't most shows and movies three acts? It would certainly be frustrating if we have to wait four months to get a whole episode completed!

I thought I read it an interview before, or I thought I did, and thought it sounded kind of smart, which means it's probably kind of stupid, but now that Scott Allie has said it's up to 50 issues and could go more, I was thinking that all the parts of an arc, make up an episode, like when the TPB comes out with the first arc, it will probably be called The Long Way Home, representing the whole first episode. Wow, I'm putting way to much thought into it, I'm probably wrong though.

If only I had the patience to wait four months and read each four issue "episode" at once. But I like chatting about it with people as they come out.

I'm excited that the next issue comes out next week. It doesn't feel like a month went by! So that's good at least!!

Is there going to be a new discussion thread for the next part, or is it still going to be this thread? I really can't wait for the next issue! I can't wait to see what happens next and I'm SO excited to see more of the Scooby Gang.

No, there'll be a new thread for every issue/episode. Makes things organized that way.

THANKS HITNRUN!
That's an awesome article. The parts I find more interesting are:
And I agree, HitNRun, it's amazing to be able to talk to people about new Buffy adventures. I never thought that would happen! As I think I said in another post, I started getting all teary when I opened the first issue because Buffy's back!
