I'm thinking Magic Man is the pizza guy. It just seems likely. The big pizza guy. xD

Haha VampSlayer! Nice. It was really freaky deaky when the Dad when nuts and chopped off his hand. Totally creepy to the max for me. Did anyone notice how amazing Amy Acker looked in this episode? She was like the epitome of pretty ladies. Also, the lead girl isn't bad looking either. I still don't know who is the Magic Man yet, but I'm thinking (not to be captain obvious) that its a man, and not a woman. You gotta have serious brute strength to punch a hole in a man's head. I know who I think isn't the killer, but I haven't made a "Killer" list yet. Anyway, this series has me intrigued and I'll keep watching.

I am captivated. I love this show already, and it's only been one episode! Great cast, some pretty great writing (though I feel some of the lines were a bit awkward; I haven't heard the word "dither" in, like, forever. Also serious lulz/wtf @ "If you touch the baby Jesus I'll make you wear the cow suit" line), and LOOOOVE the atmosphere. This show has the potential to be awesome to the max. I did notice a bit of lacking in the character department, but I'm OK with it right now; some characters DID get some development, everyone's character is instantly recognizable. It's just a lot of characters to cover, so I know some people will be in the background right now. But I don't think any of them are one-dimensional, which was my biggest initial problem with Flashforward. I have high hopes because of this.

So yeah, thought it was pretty awful. My expectations were low to begin with, and was shocked that I was enjoying it for the first 10 minutes or so, but it just got worse and worse, to the point of being unwatchable. Terrible writing. The Chloe twist was pretty cool though. I'll try to keep watching till the inevitable cancellation for Amy, but I doubt I will. I don't see how this can last as a series, should've been a mini like Harper's Island, which also started off awful, but became something special. Maybe the same thing can happen here.
I do know I want to try "I'm so in love with you, I don't know what day it is" on a girl sometime and see what happens.

should've been a mini like Harper's Island Not to nitpick, but Harper's Island was a miniseries. It was a regular series that ran for only a half-season. Happy Town could very well do just that.

Was or wasn't? Always thought Harper's was a set in stone 13 episodes with a beginning, middle, and end (which it had). And if the ratings were good it'd turn into a series of minis (which it didn't).

Urgghh, sorry. I always forgot to add "n't" and such to contracted words. And, yes that's what Harper's Island was, but it's not wasn't exactly a miniseries. I'm just saying, for all we know Happy Town could very well be planned to be only one season, like HI.

I liked it. It has potential, but I wouldn't be surpried if it does get a cancellation.

I thought that while the main characters were OK, the acting by the secondary and teriary characters, expecailly the kids, was terrible. The teenagers were awful and the little girl talking about "Earthcakes" made me want to barf. And what 16 year old teases another kid with a mock song set to "You're so Vain"? I'll watch another episode or 2, but I don't see this lasting.

Hmm this seems like a strange show. Im intrigued so far, but not addicted. Amy's role in this show seems like a total waste of her talent.. to tell you the truth. She should not be playing the 'wife'... thats boring!

Missed the second episode. Totally forgot. Oh well. Hate to say it, but I'm not really that upset about it. Maybe I'll check it out later on.

I forgot to watch yesterday. I'm not too sure I care. For those who watched, was it better than the first episode?

Call me crazy, but I enjoyed it. Certainly not the best pilot in the world, or even that great, but this show has all the right elements in place. It just has to learn how to use them properly.
The ratings, however, suck. So I doubt it will stick around, which sucks for Amy. I'll keep watching it though, and I'm excited to check episode 2 out.

Young love sucks. (Yes, this is related to Happy Town. ) Two episodes and I love the hell outta Henley. Totally wasn't expecting that since I started watching for Amy Acker, but Henley(/Chloe?) is awesome. The second episode has definitely sparked more of my interest in character motivations. I'm convinced that Henley and the movie memorabilia guy are working together. I think she's connected to the Magic Man somehow. And holy crap, TC's daughter got straight jacked or something! Scariest piece of TV I've seen in a while. I love the campy quality of this show. I feel right at home watching it.

Dang, that sucks about the show. I agree with Jelly, I want Amy on a show that lasts. She has the talent and should be getting picked up for better series'. I enjoyed the second episode, but honestly, it's only the Chloe plot that has me intrigued. The rest of it is only decent filler. It was cool though with Henley running to duplicate the key. I was like, "Woah! Supercrafter ftw!"
