I think it's cool that he is asking for our input! I voted!
1. Harmony 2. Betta George 3. Doesn't really matter to me. 4. Not really, I'd like them kept separate. 5. Is Lilah a big bad? If not, Glory. 6. Harmony/Lilah/Kate/Gwen

Here's what I said:
1. Gwen. Illyria would also be interesting... But I gotta go with Gwen.
2. Can't say.
3. Yay!
4. Not particularly. I'm mostly interested in tried and true Buffy and angel folk like Oz, Gwen, Harmony, and Connor.
5. Drusilla, but she's really more of a medium sized bad. I also loved Knox dearly. Glory was interesting. Darla was love. The two characters I love seeing in Angel the most are Darla and Dru.
6. I'm going to say Doyle. I also love how in all the fanged four fanfics Penn is consistently forgotten or forsaken.
I'm editing in this part because I didn't think to say this when I was filling the poll out. The good thing about Doyle is that he was gone for four seasons. Don't get me wrong, I wanted Doyle back as much as the next girl, but let's think about Whedonesque resurrections: They usually happen not too long after the character initially died. They're pretty quick. To bring Doyle back now would 1. Bring a little bit of the season 1 feeling back by adding a season 1 cast member and 2. help redirect the plot.
The characters we have left now, sadly, barely resemble what the show was really like in its hay day. We've got Angel, Spike, Gunn (vamp?), Illyria, and maybe Harmony left over from the after effects of season 5. We lost Cordy, Fred, and Wesley within just a couple of episodes of each other. Cordy, Fred, and Wes were a big part of why I loved the show. Losing them changes the feel over to this even more edgy, not family like ragtag group of heroes. I think if Doyle were added back into the equation it'd bring the bond Angel has with the rest of the group back.

hi guys this is my first post on this board, although i've been reading your theories for a while. anyway i hope this hasn't been posted yet, but i found an article where Joss Whedon and Brian Lynch talk Angel: After the Fall - that's right! A canon, 12-issue season six of Angel is coming right up! forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=110457That's the link, it's also been reported on the ATS page on wikipedia. So? what do you think? P.

I saw this; IDW have done some interesting things with their Angel series - I loved the Illyria one-shot - but a lot of it has felt too much like fan pleasing to me. The beauty of Buffy was the idea that Joss would always give fans what they need rather than what they want. As such, it worries me that there's a poll on what people want to see in a continuation of the story. Just my tuppence worth, anyway. MB x

Totally, totally weak excuses to bring back fan favorite characters and the like. I really liked Spike Asylum and even the couple Spike one-shots, Spike Vs. Dracula, and Masks were enjoyable. But most of the spotlights and the aforementioned series were icky at best (I did like the Illyria spotlight, though, too).

Angel-wise, I've only read the Spotlight comics, and frankly I didn't really enjoy the Gunn, Connor or even Illyria ones that much. Though I think with Illyria, it might have been more to do with the art, I didn't think much of it. Thought Fred was Eve at first. I've still yet to read the Wes one. I really liked the Doyle one though, thought it was great. Plus cool Roseanne reference

Greetings... this is my first post: 'hi!' Brian Lynch will be talking about the new Angel season 6 comics at IDW's panel at Comic con (on Friday 11:30am-12:30 pm room 4)
I'm really excited about this series, evidently Joss is very involved with every part of it... and I think Brian Lynch has already shown that he is a great writer in Spike: Asylum and Spike: Shadowpuppets

Link to the cover art: www.newsarama.com/Comic-Con_07/IDW/Angel-1.jpgIllustrator: Franco Urru Cover Artist: Tony Harris From Newsrama.com"Ryall then introduced Angel: After the Fall, the upcoming 12-part + series that will pick up the Angel franchise following the cliffhanger at the end of Season 7. Angel creator Joss Whedon was named as the “Watcher” on the series, which will be written by Lynch, and illustrated by Franco Urru, with covers by Tony Harris.
The series will start in November, and will, Ryall said, “tell the story that people have wanted to read since we started with the Angel and Spike comics.”
Ryall said that IDW had approached Whedon about doing the series earlier, but the creator was reluctant to do it until he read Lynch’s Spike one shot, which got him thinking that he could do the series with Lynch, as he liked Lynch’s sensibilities on the characters.
The 12 issues of the run will be broken into arcs, separated by a month, with a special filling in each month that a regular series issue isn’t being released. The first special will be called First Night and will feature several stories looking at other characters in the mythos who will not be playing larger roles in the main story.
Lynch: “The cast was about to fight a fight that they were going to lose, and this series deals with the fallout of that; Angel knew going in that he was going to lose, and this is the fallout of him taking a stand against a force that he couldn’t beat” "
