Ryall posted on his BLOG what appears to be the name of Angel's next arc: ANGEL: ONLY HUMAN. I left a comment to confirm, but if this is true then I love the name. Dying for more info.

I can't wait, it's mean that we still don't know who is going to write it, the same for the artists. But I love the title, I'm curious how we should read that title ... like the characters not being good enough to deal with something?

Actually ONLY HUMAN may not be the name of the next arc in the main title, but a spin off mini-series from #23. Zriza said this in Ryall's comments section:
Mr. Ryall hinted about Angel: Only Human several days ago bit didn't mention it's name till this post.
I'ts a spin off mini series from Angel #23.
Ryall himself said "mini series" when he described ONLY HUMAN, so maybe we are getting a new Gunn spin off?

Ugh, words wont be able to describe how annoyed I'd be if that's the case. The more the merrier, but why can't it just be part of the on-going series? If it's something like Blood and Trenches, I wouldn't mind, but if it is actually a continuation of what is happening now and in #23, annoying! Too much money!

Yeah, I wouldn't like that either. Especially because the Angel series lost already so many main characters. There is enough place for a good story about Gunn. (Okay, I just really want Gunn to return to Angel ... I don't like it that Angel lost all his friends.)
edit: But if it's not part of the main title, why is it called 'Angel: Only Human'? I mean the miniseries with Spike was called 'Spike; After the Fall'. Putting Angel's name in the title would suggest that it's about Angel .... right?

I just think Spike is a big enough character to get his own title. If you look back to the old Angel Spotlights, they were call Angel Spotlight: Doyle (etc). I think if they called it "Gunn" the less hardcore Angel fans may not recognize it as an "Angel" story.

Oh God, not a Gunn Spin-off. I would like Vamp Gunn back or Gunn like he was in S1-2 in the main series...

Gunn's probably best off with Angel. Have his little one-shot, then put him back in the Angel main series. A Gunn spin-off is probably not a good idea

It would be nice to have Brian Lynch back. Not right now because he probably needs a break. Since Joss is busy with Dollhouse *hopes it doesn’t get cancelled*, I would like to see some of the original writers such as David Fury and David Greenwalt.
I think Franco Urru will only join in if Brian Lynch is involved.
I would like to see Nick Runge, Stephen Mooney, and David Messina back in the game. For covers? Definitely Alex Garner. Nick Runge would be great too.
I don’t mind what direction it goes in, as long as it doesn’t end up in the crapper. Lol.
Shorter arcs which are part of a larger plot altogether. You know what I mean?

Chris Ryall posted some new details about the future on his BLOG: Dying to find out who is taking over. It's awesome that they will be at the Comic-Con panel as well, maybe it is someone 'big.'

One of the writers from the show perhaps?

Ryall also confirmed on his blog that:
Brian and Stephen will be doing issues #26 and #27 and the new writer joins in #28.
This is so exciting! Brian/Urru/Mooney for the next 5 issues. ;D
That means that the 6th HC will be all of Brian's next issues as well.
Waiting to hear if that 'Last Angel in Hell' poster will be the cover for #26 so I can start getting threads in order.

Sweet! That is so awesome. The "Last Angel in Hell" stuff seems the most likely.

Yeah, thank God for that, I hope the other writer is someone from the show who wants to get into the comic book scene... unlikely, so hoping for someone good..

How about John Byrne? He did a pretty good job on Blood & Trenches. And unlike K. Armstrong, he knows how to write an Angel story.

From IDW's Comic Con panel info page: Angel: On the Rise; Saturday, July 25, 10 - 11 am
With LA back from Hell, what's next for IDW's Angel comics? Fans of the show and the tall, dark and brooding fangster can find out who's still fighting, who's been eaten, and what sinister forces are still to come during this panel featuring Juliet Landau (Angel writer/actress), Brian Lynch (Angel: After the Fall), Peter David (Fallen Angel), plus the reveal of the all-new monthly Angel writer and more!Either Peter is there to just talk about his Illyria/Fallen Angel cross over, or he might be our new Angel writer after all. What do y'all think?

I'd say it's possible (and I hope so), but it looks like it's just for the Fallen Angel crossover. And Kelly Armstrong wasn't there when they announced she was doing Aftermath last year.
