Well, it's better. Not just better - second-best ratings of the season.

It's a nice change. Maybe they'll go up again next week.

OK, when the heckers did Meet Jane Doe air? They totally did NOT advertise. Like at all. Why air if no one sees it?

At this point, I don't think FOX cares too much about getting more people to watch the show. They know that the fans know when it's coming on. Show's cancelled, so why bother trying to get new viewers?

Yeah, you're right. Ad space is sold prior, and not pro-rated for viewership afterward. Though I guess it wasn't any less advertisement than I've seen for Dollhouse all season. Guess I'm just mad that I missed it! Watching on Hulu now.

Lol... so you only watched "A Love Supreme" last night, and weren't lost at all?

I was like, "Yeah, Adelle, I want to know what Echo was up to too!"

Well, I hope "Meet Jane Doe" cleared that up for you somewhat.

Talk about airing it to get it out of the way. I'd guess Fox can't wait to see the back of it now. This was the setup before the show was canceled. So either they wanted to cancel it and decided to get our hopes up by announcing back-to-back every Friday in December, or they weren't sure if they wanted to cancel it but had to put something in the 8/7c slot because they were migrating their sitcoms to Sunday.

The thing that can be said about the ratings for this show: they're consistently inconsistent.

Hmm, so I take there isn't any hope that FOX will say say, "Omg... What have we done to this amazing show?! "

Hmm, so I take there isn't any hope that FOX will say say, "Omg... What have we done to this amazing show?! " Doubt that FOX is even thinking about the show anymore at this point. Yay for us, that they shoved 6 eps into December to clear the show even faster, but fact of the matter is... they're clearing it to make room for whatever new failure they're setting up for Friday nights.

Because Human Target is a new show. Dollhouse was tagged with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and that was a rather successful venture, increasing female viewership overall for Friday nights. Past the first season, though, if you're not a winning show then your slot on the schedule is anybody's guess. :/ Also, FOX only does American Idol in the Winter programming, for whatever reasons (some of which are probably legit logistic reasons), so the show it gets tagged with would have to be a midseason replacement - and as it happens, Human Target is just that, AND it's only got a 13-episode order on the first season (because after it's done, Glee comes back to fill the void that Human Target and AI will leave on Wednesday nights). FOX is not credited with an overabundance of brains, but one thing they do know is how effing popular American Idol is, and they know how to manipulate that to whatever ends they want. For that, we can also blame America, though I already blame America for a lot of things anyway.
