Yes, it seems like they send people to the Attic, not dolls. Like they sent Dominic to the Attic fully as himself because they needed his fully functioning brain, right? So I imagine that all the dolls sent to the attic have their original personalities in them when they go there.

Did anyone else immediately think of "The Matrix" when Clyde explained about how Rossum uses comatose people as sources of computing processor power? The Atticverse seems to serve a purpose very similar to the Matrix. I think Adelle had been genuinely conflicted up until this point about whether she wanted to be a good witch or a bad witch... and also very frightened. Giving Rossum Topher's plans was a genuine mistake, which they will all obviously come to regret. And her taking refuge in the bottom of a whiskey bottle was also genuine. Taking her shower and leaving her glass on Boyd's desk symbolized her finally making her decision. Also, I have to say I've developed a serious crush on Ivy. That's one pretty little lady. ETA: Also, the fact that Adelle chose to shower with the Dolls, rather than using the private shower she obviously must have, was symbolic of which side she was coming down on... their interest, rather than her own self-interest.

I think Adelle new exactly what she was doing when she gave Topher's plans to Rossum. They would of had the technology soon enough. Hand delivering it to them helped her earn back their trust which enabled her to dig deeper into their secrets.
I do wonder if Boyd is currently communicating the Dr. Saunders. He mentioned something about personal business and trouble at home...

This was a great episode, and I echo many of the previous comments made. One thing I really enjoyed about that I haven't seen mentioned was the "Team" element of it. Echo, Sierra, Victor, and Dominic teaming up to capture Arcane reminded me of the Scoobies or Team Angel working together to overcome.

Wow, was this episode amazing. Honestly, I think it's my favorite yet. I'm glad Adelle has finally come to join the fight against Rossum, and boy oh boy was it nice to see Victor and Sierra rolling around in that bed >< My only real concern at this point is Boyd. Was he even in Epitaph One? I fear he may be a casualty before the end of this season. Come on Season 3 on ScyFy!! or a movie

They seemed pretty couple-y, he was injured and was running away because of something he did that we don't know. Hope we find out!

Oh yeah, need to rewatch ><
Wonder if Clare will be making another appearance this season, tie it all together. It would be a shame if she just disappeared mid way through the season, with no tie in for Epitaph One & Two.

Eliza tweeted a few weeks ago that it was Harry Lennix's last day on the set, and that was before they were filming Epitaph Two. I would guess he's not in it, although it's possible they filmed his scenes ahead of time because he had another job.

So cool that we finally got to see the Attic! I found the episode very creepy in a way, but it was soooo good! Joss has always been the master at making those creepy, unsettling/dreamlike episodes. I would argue that this has been one of the best episodes of the season! And so the whole Adelle bitchiness thing was an act all along? I suspected it may all have been part of some grander scheme. If so, then well played indeed. Glad to see she is back to herself though b/c she was really starting to piss me off. lol. I thought, "WTH is her deal?!" P.S. I hate FOX for canceling my show when it is getting soooooo good.

it was nice to see that adelle had a greater plan this entire time, its always better to see the character stay true to who they are than for them to give into the fear and weakness that comes with an impending fight. I had a feeling that Ballard was going to be turned into a Doll, maybe now he'll feel mroe for Echo than Caroline. The fact that Victor and Sierra seem to have this below the surface love that never seems to fade is beautiful. I like Echo a whole lot more than Caroline though. That final scene with the whole group getting ready for the big fight, its so typical in a Joss Whedon show and I loved it!! i loved it a lot

Basically I spent something like 5 hours last night catching up on Dollhouse. I can't believe the season is almost over. It's gotten SO GOOD. And definitely the mood of the past few episodes feels more like a miniseries than a television show. Anyway thoughts on this episode... My only real concern at this point is Boyd. Was he even in Epitaph One? I fear he may be a casualty before the end of this season. Me too! Boyd is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. He has this aura about him that makes me feel like you can always trust him. I think they touched on this briefly but, did he work for Rossum before entering the DH as a handler? He mentioned personal problems too, and we never hear him talk about his outside life that often. I wonder if this has anything to do with that phone call he made when he helped Topher dispose of the body in 'Belonging'... ? Did anyone else immediately think of "The Matrix" when Clyde explained about how Rossum uses comatose people as sources of computing processor power? The Atticverse seems to serve a purpose very similar to the Matrix. Ah good thinking AC, I totally thought that also. Especially with all the plugs. I also thought it was rather clever how they essentially "shrinkwrap" dolls in the attic. Like when you preserve collectibles in plastic wrap? So creepy. I loved seeing Mr. Dominic again. I hope we get to see him in the next couple of episodes. I also thought that Echo was going to say Whiskey in that last scene when she said they were missing one person from their team, but I guess Caroline makes sense.

I agree that Boyd's background is something that is needed. Ever since the first episodes of the series, they've teased the idea of how an ex-cop got involved with the Dollhouse. And especially now with his "personsal problems". I hope they fit it in the next two episodes.
I don't want him to be another Book.

They have time (not much more time than Firefly did but time is time), I'm sure it'll be addressed. Plus Book's getting an origin story comic book anyway so really THERE IS NO BOOK ANYMORE! *gasp shock horror run-out-of-theater-screaming-bloody-murder...-and-maybe-orgasm-too-who-knows-what-goes-on-in-a-dark-theater-with-hormonal-teenagers* I've lost all composure.

I'll wait until we actually get that comic before losing all composure. I mean, it was announced like two years ago probably. Gimme!

This episode was amazing. I think it is close to being one of Joss' best. It sucks that it's almost over, but they are really bringing at the end. Can't wait for more!

I just had an OMG moment when I finally realized what that Japanese dude really meant by "I have to enjoy myself". His legs are cut. There are human legs on the table in the kitchen. HE IS EATING HIMSELF! He has to enjoy eating himself... This scene was already high on the creep-o-meter, but with this realization, I think I've hit the creepiest Joss moment ever.
