To Rebecca: Wow. Thanks! Glad you liked my ideas, and glad I'm not alone on the messenger deal. My friends all argued with me that it was Dominic but I wasn't all that convinced. I seem to be alone here as well. Idea buddies!!!

You're definitely not alone Rebecca. I never believed that Dominic had been the one sending messages to Paul. I think he might have been doing research on the imprinting process, keeping tabs on what Topher was up to, but someone else was responsible for alerting Paul. I guess it all goes back to really thinking the Dollhouse has a higher, more dangerous, purpose than just selling out Dolls to paying clients. If this isn't true, and Dominic was just messing with Paul, then I will be so disappointed.

Eliza tweeted a few hours ago that she and Dichen are currently doing a "zexy" photoshoot for SELF magazine, for the October issue. That should be out right around the time season 2 premieres.
Eliza and Dichen gettin' zexy. Hmmm.

Blegh. FOX just updated their Twitter saying Dollhouse's premiere was pushed back a week to September 25.I liked the September 18th date because then it would've premiered a week before its competition, possibly give it an advantage. And unlike the first season, Dollhouse actually has strong competition with other networks: Ugly Betty, Southland and Medium.

Sad times! I actually wanted to watch Southland too. Guess I'll have to watch it on Hulu. Never could get into Ugly Betty or Medium, but their competition is something fierce!

Yay! Ausiello just tweeted that Joss will be writing and directing the premiere! As long as it means more like "Man on the Street" than "Ghost", then I'll be excited.

Yay! Ausiello just tweeted that Joss will be writing and directing the premiere! Maybe I should get more news twitters on my feed... I find out all my TV news via The Futon Critic. So excited!! I'm sure it'll be 10x more awesome than either one. The team really hit their stride in the last six episodes so hopefully now they're ready to go all-out guns-a-blazin' with the story, and Joss knows just how to kickstart that with a bang.

It could be hit or miss. A hit because it will be the first episode Joss has written AND directed since Dollhouse became something really special, and he has the brain. Or a miss because none of Joss' premieres are really that special. Regardless, I wouldn't want it to be anyone besides him. Leaning more towards the hit.

The thing about Joss' premieres are that he sets up the entire season there. Sets the tone for everything. There's always some serious heavy lifting done. I find the episodes are deceptively simple and "not great", more functional than slam-dunks but still I don't think anyone could do it the way he does.

For reference, Joss wrote/directed Buffy S2-3 and wrote S1 and S7 premieres (David Solomon directing 7, Charles Martin Smith directing 1); he co-wrote Angel 1-3 premieres with David Greenwalt and wrote/directed S5 himself; and he wrote/directed the original Firefly pilot and co-wrote the "first second pilot" with the mega-awesome Tim Minear, with Joss directing.
^^^All of the above are in my top favorite episodes in the Jossverse.

Apparently, the S2 premier episode title is "Vows". Click here to see it yourself.

That sounds cool. There can be any number of meanings for that word and the Dollhouse.
