Hey all. I wasn't able to score a Q&A, but I did secure a short interview with Scott Allie. I thought I'd open the floor up to you guys to contribute a few questions about the Firefly/Serenity-verse. Questions will be selected and tweaked at my discretion (but you will be credited) and submitted to Scott. Questions DO NOT necessarily have to be about the Wash one-shot, but it's recommended. I need questions in by Friday 12:00 pm (CST) to be eligible. I know that this is cutting it rather close, but I'd like to strike while the iron is hot. My apologies to those who aren't be able to participate, but I'd encourage you to hang on to any questions you may have, and either submit them to the lettercol, OR perhaps for another similar opportunity when "The Shepherd's Tale" comes out later this year. I encourage those of you who can to go out this Wednesday (June 2nd) or Thursday (June 3rd), buy the Wash one-shot, and send me your questions. Up to two (2) per person. Use this thread for your submissions. For non-members who would like to participate, I'll be taking questions at wenxina@slayalive.comThanks all!

If you don't mind, I'd like to get in a question generally about the 'verse before the book comes out.
Scott, has there ever been any discussion about an on-going Serenity book, or is it simply easier to do shorter stories when telling stories in this 'verse compared to Buffy? Does Joss ever talk about it much (if at all)?

This is a before the Wsh one-shot comes out question - so Wenxina don't use it if it is not the appropriate time.
Is there any hope that Zoe could be pregnant/have Wash's baby in a future issue? She wanted his baby so bad that I kept hoping that she was pregnant before he died (and it was too soon for them to know or the Doctor could have harvested some of his sperm before they buried him).

Hey all. Silly me just realized that because of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, shipments of books within the US will probably be delayed a day (check with your local shop). And so, I'm extending the deadline to Friday 12:00pm CST.

Hey Wenxina,
Thanks for giving us the opportunity to present some possible questions for Scott Allie...
1.) Excluding the former Writers like Jane Espenson, Steven S. DeKnight, Drew Z. Greenberg & Drew Goddard - How did you go about selecting the Writers that were new to the Buffyverse?
2.) As the Editor of Season 8, I would presume that you and Joss talk quite frequently about the direction of these comics, so I'm curious about what that relationship has been like? Do you two ever disagree on story development? If so, could you give us an example?
3.) Looking back with hindsight now that we're approaching the final arch, would you concede that Season 8 was (for lack of a better word) overambitious?
4.) What has been your weirdest encounter with Whedon fans?
Thanks & keep up the good work!

Hey, no cheating! 2 questions per person. Depending on the direction of the other questions, I'll choose some to be included with the rest. Remember, this isn't a Q&A for S8. The interview is limited to 12 questions, so I'll be picking the questions that best go with the direction I'll decide to go in, once I've read the issue.

1. If 'Float Out' is a success, can we be expecting more one-shots from Patton Oswalt? I remember hearing that he had a handful of ideas for Serenity issues(Ones focused on other, single characters).
2. [Sorry, if this is too off topic!] Being a huge fan of all Whedon-related projects, I was very upset when Dollhouse went off the air. I understand that talks of Dollhouse comics were heard of, but dropped. Has this situation changed at all?

Zoe is pregnant with a daughter, as revealed at the end of "Float Out".

Interview is now up HERE. Thanks for your questions. I credited those whose questions I used (I did edit them to make them flow with the interview). I'm sorry I didn't get to use everyone's questions, but I only used those that went with the general direction I wanted to go in. If we have another one of these for S8 stories, there are a few unused questions that will go better there than here.

OMG!!! I am so happy. I just got the book yesterday, I found it a bit hard going through all the flying and fighting pages - but boy, the last page was worth it!!!
