I don't think Andrew should end up with anyone. He's like Illyria to me: Asexual. Lol.

While Andrew and Dawn were cute sometimes... In my mind he's gay. Anything else would... confuse me...

I have entertained that thought a few times, but Andrew is too immature for Dawn...even if he were straight
Wait, Andrew's gay?

The actor is gay, and then there were times when he acted very gay so most people assumed he was. I always assumed he was straight just very camp, it's possibly open to interpretation.
Though I heard somewhere Joss wanted Dawn to turn out gay, no idea where I got that from... maybe it was a dream.

^^I know Andrew was written to have a thing for Jonathan and that Joss wanted him to be written gay/bi. I forget where the interview link is.
As for Dawn, I don't remember that ever being explicitly stated, but there are several references to this in the show and comics. Little hints here and there.

I love their scenes together but I never saw the potential for anything to happen with them. I heard somewhere that Andrew was never intended to be gay, but Tom Lenk portrayed him that way and the crew just decided to go with it.
I never heard that about Dawn either, but noticed the small hints. I think the whole gay storyline would have been better left for Dawn or even Xander. It's just sort of out of the blue for Willow and the Doppelgangland stuff just seems to be written in as a last minute foreshadowing. Dawn and Xander could've used the character development more too.

^^I don't think of Willow's vampire form as foreshadowing, because technically all vampires are bisexual.
Hints to Dawn being gay? I never knew that! o.0 Xander I knew about because Joss wasn't sure if he wanted to make Willow or Xander gay (although I still disagree with Willow being on one extreme end of the sexuality sppectrum and then going all the way to the other extreme-- I still think it would have made more sense if she converted to a bisexual that prefers women, but that's another discussion that was made in another thread). But Dawn being gay? Had no clue that was ever an option for the writers. What are the references?
Either way, Andrew and Dawn would make an awkward couple IMO. I'd believe Anya and Andrew before this.

I'm about to start watching from season five onwards, I will definately be looking out for Dawn-gayness hints.

^^I don't think of Willow's vampire form as foreshadowing, because technically all vampires are bisexual. What makes you say that? Other than vampire Willow, which bi vampires have we seen? PS. I don't count whatever Spike & Angel had that one time, because it's too vague to define Spike & Angel's sexual preference as bi.

^^Drusilla, Darla, Xander (arguably) just to name a few. It came Joss's mouth is that Spike and Angel defitely had sex (probably what Spike was referring to in Angel season 5), so I would add them to the list too. Plus it came straight from Joss's mouth that all vampires are impulsive, including an impulsive sexuality and impulsive sexual relations as well, making them bi.

Plus it came straight from Joss's mouth that all vampires are impulsive, including an impulsive sexuality and impulsive sexual relations as well, making them bi. Why would you think Drusilla, Darla and vamp Xander were bi? That Spike & Angel got intimate could mean that they were very drunk one night and kissed, quickly, then got repulsed by what they've done and never wanted to touch another male again. Considering that neither of them as shown any sign of wanting men, I think that scenario is very likely. Thing is, we don't know what happened and I don't think it can count as proof. And what exactly did Joss say about vampires being impulsive sexually? It's not that I'm calling you a liar, but everyone interprets differently. EDIT- I now see that you say that Joss confirmed that they had sex. I just thought he confirmed that something sexually happened, that he said something about "Come on, they open-minded guys, living a long time, something happened" or something to that effect.

^^Dru and Darla definitely had sex, and Dru seemed to have an attraction to Lilah IMO. With Vamp Xander it's more speculation on my part. It seemed to me that Vamp Willow wasn't the only one who gott off on torturing Puppy!Angel (I know we oly got to see him watching Willow torture Angel, but it's implied he did too).
Joss said something like you said in commentary on the whole Spike/Angel thing, but there's also something on Whedeonesque he said, talking about it.
As for the all vamps having an impulsive sexuality? I'm not sure where I heard it but it was either in the form of a commentary or an interview. Most likely commentary.

When did Dru & Darla have sex? I would have to re-watch the Dru/Lilah scenes to be able to tell if your right about Drusilla liking Lilah, I don't remember any sexual attraction, but I don't have my DVDs :´( Vamp Xander seemed to sexually enjoy torture, but I don't think that had anything to do with Angel being male, just the torture. Hard to tell. So I still think it's up for speculation, if vampires are bi or not. I think that they're "loser" than humans, that's for sure, so if someone thought "Hey, that guy is cute", they're more likely to experiment than humans, no matter what sex they themselves are (of course, from what I remember, Angel did not like being seen as gay because of his apperance, but that could be his "proper" human side talking). I wouldn't say there's anything that shows that all vampires turn bi just because they're turned. They probably all turn slutty tough

I think if it were something like that it'd be less that vampires were bi, but more once turned they can be sexually into anything. Which owuld then mean that if a vampire was more reserved or straight it'd be due to their own experiences and personal issues opposing the 'vamp-freeness' that the others experience. Or something like that.

^^ I think it would make more sense if the demon part is "I'll screw anything that moves, scratch that, I'll screw everything" and the human part is simply the human leftovers from when the vampire was alive, including sexual preferences. So the new demon part has to co-exist with the human part, and it's sexual preferences. Vampires are more sexual when undead than before, but what they like doesn't necassarily change radically. This is however speculation.
The Girl In Question, If you ever find those Joss quotes, start a new thread about vampires being bi or not. I still can't think of any bi vamps, but this is a interesting discussion.
Back on topic: I do think there were something there between Dawn & Andrew, but it more seemed like a potential friendship. There were no sparks as far as I could see, but I think they would be adorable together. They're both goofy and kind of outsiders. But I think Dawn deserves better. I still don't like or trust Andrew.

How can you not like Andrew? He's so lovable! He was a wimpo in denial through the entire season 6, all because he was desperate to belong to a gang and be famous and feared, not realizing what being evil actually is or what consequences his actions actually had. He got a girl killed and was yelled at for being a rapist and still stood at the side of the man who was shown to be a cold back-stabber (Warren) while being ready to betray Jonathan as well. Then in season 7 he all of a sudden wants to be a good guy. I think he just wanted that because he wanted to belong and didn't really care about the cause. Maybe he really has changed, but I think that if Buffy or the others hurt him in any way, betrayed him, hurt him, he would join with any gang out there, good guys or bad guys. I hope I'm wrong, but other than being funny and nerdy, he doesn't seem like someone I can admire or find trustworthy, and that definitly takes away from the overall appeal. And that he keeps telling BS stories (like the Dracula Xander one) annoys the hell out of me. He's a comic relief to me, a semi decent one.

I don't think he was ever truly bad, he just feels strongly for his friends and was very loyal to Warren. I think out of the trio Warren was the only really evil one there. Andrew then went along with killing Jonathon because he was just so happy to see Warren again. Then without either Jonathon or Warren he clung onto the closest things he had to friends (which turn out to be his enemies) because really he's just a lost little puppy who needs protecting...
And yeah when I'm describing him here I'm coming to totally understanding how people don't like him lol, he is rather pathetic, but I like that.
