It's a new show on MTV. The first epsiode stars my cousin's highschool, Freedom High located in Oakley (i.e. lamey lame town with nothing to do), California. Here's the description for the show: With a newly-diverse student body Freedom High School is having growing pains. The kids separate by race and are also extremely cliquey - Jocks hold the social power, Leadership takes charge of events, and everybody looks down on the black-clad "freaks" who hang out in A-quad. I haven't actually watched the episode myself, but if you see a girl named LaTia, you'll know it's The Girl In Question's cousin Has anyone watched this? I'm sure they'll re-run it on MTV enough times.

I haven't heard of this but will try and watch it at some point. Is it a real life show?

Yeah. It's a documentary like "True Life," not a faux reality show like "The Hills" or something

I actually watched this a few days ago, after not finding anything else to watch; I thought it was boring.

I just watched two episodes of this last night. It gets a little cheesy to me, but I dig what it's trying to do. I think in high school especially people assume everyone is living a great life and give little thought to what people are really going through. I can definitely see how this could be effective if kids are willing to participate.
The only thing that set off my cheese radar was the stereotyping and labels. In my high school experience, even though there was cliques and racial segregation it just wasn't so clearly defined. I can't imagine some guy saying "Yeah. I'm a jock, everyone thinks I'm awesome..."; do people really identify themselves in the categories of "freak", "jock", "band geek"? I guess my experience in high school was just different...everyone was just miserable.

^^Lol, my school was only semi-clique, but my cousin goes (actually, went) to Freedom High and she said that's pretty much how it is there. But if you've ever been to Oakley, Ca ( and most people haven't for a reason) it's not that hard to believe.
And the Twisted Slayer, I saw the huge typos I made in the title...after I already made the thread. Lol. I don't know how to change it >.<
