Percy Jackson. 2/10 meh. what a disapointment! it looked pretty good from the trailers, but when i watched it, it was a huge let down. The thing that bothered me the most about it was that it was SOOOO corny. the only reason for the 2 points is because 1: The effects were pretty awesome, and 2: the actor who played Percy was REALLY hot!! That's all i kept thinking. Other than that it was pretty much a flop in my book.

The Descent: Part 2
It was actually really good. There was a lot more blood and gore in this one than there was in the first. There were also a couple of good twists.

Shutter Island 8/10. Well made, good cast, excellent production and really good set and dark shots, but within half an hour I had worked out what was going to happen so the end was a little predictable.

The Expendables - I really liked this movie. Is it one that I'll watch over and over again until the DVD is scratched up, no probably not. However I still enjoyed it. My favorite parts were the fighting scenes and I loved seeing all the action stars I loved watching when I was growing up and the new ones I love now in one movie. I wish that Willis and Charisma were in more of the movie but other than that I had a good time watching. 8/10

Adventureland
This was an ok movie, it could have been better if they added more of a storyline to it. I think the only reason I liked it was because Kristen Stewart is in it.

A few days ago I watched Kick-Ass and Hot Tub Time Machine. Both were good, but I especially loved Kick-Ass. Did anyone else think that Aaron Johnson was super hot when he was in his Kick-Ass costume, but ugly the rest of the time? Anyway, Hot Tub Time Machine was good too, but I didn't like the ending.
Just now I watched 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time. I liked it. Keir Dullea was really good.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - I really like this one. I don't understand why it's panned by a lot of critics and viewers. I enjoyed the story and I enjoyed the cast and I hoped for a sequel which doesn't look like it's going to happen. 7/10
Clash of the Titans (remake) - If I was rating this purely on special effects this movie would easily be 8 or 9 out of 10. The SFX were wonderful and it kept my eyes glued to the screen whenever they were showcased. However I was very disappointed in the story and how it was brought to screen. I didn't mind that the writers changed things from the 1980's version, sometimes, if done right, that can be a good thing. But I didn't feel for the characters. I was irritated that they killed off a couple of the characters that I enjoyed and after they died there wasn't anything said about them again. 4/10

Zombieland. Great movie 10/10. It's funny sad and scary. Also Hollywood needs to give Jesse Eisenberg those awkward nerdy kid roles instead of Michael Cera.

Today I have watched G-Force (love that film) and then Love Wrecked (teen film about a rock star and a fan of his trapped on an island. It was okay and kin of cute). I watched a bit of Scoobie Doo and am now watching Bon Voyage Charlie Brown (awesomeness!) I am off work sick and get so bored on my own all day so my boyfriend (without me knowing) programmed all reminders into the sky box for films he knows I like/would like, so all day I have had a stream of super cool movies to watch. He is such a sweetie

watched Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, with my son the other night. We both loved it. Yes, we loved it. What can I say, my child has made me appreciate the simplicity of Disney Channel productions.

Oddly enough, I had a dream last night that I was watching a movie. It was a really terrifying movie. In reality though, the last movie I watched was Tuvalu.
Oh wait, never mind, the last movie I watched was Bitch Slap. It was not nearly as good as Tuvalu, unless you judge your movies solely on how much cleavage they contain.

The Strangers - 8.5/10. Creepy ass movie. I loved the opening lines from the narrator and the kids coming up to the house in the first 2 minutes of film and that 911 call got my attention quick. I was very impressed with this. This movie seemed a lot more real than many other horror/thriller/terror type movies. There are these little touches that if you aren't paying attention you miss. One scene about 20-30 minutes in showed a couple things that made me backtrack a bit to see if my eyes missed something and they did. Although there were a few things here and there that James and the girl (can't remember her name) did that I didn't think were too smart it was refreshing for me when the girl didn't run around in her nightgown for the rest of the movie. She went and got on jeans, shirt, and another shirt over the t-shirt when things started getting weird, the only thing missing were shoes, she rarely wore shoes. Spoiler deals with ending and the strangers who are terrorizing the couple. So don't push the button if you don't want to know. Till the very end of the movie I thought the boyfriend/ex-boyfriend was in on it. There were some things that made me go hmm that's odd. Also I loved that the stranger's reason for terrorizing them was just that 'they were home', it was so heartless and so cold. It had nothing to do with revenge, jealousy or anything like that, just they were home. Plus we never see their faces. They take off the masks but their faces are either out of frame or the camera cuts away before we see them.

The Runaways 10/10
Dakota Fanning is amazing in this. She's so grown up, it's weird to see her in skimpy outfits, swearing, doing drugs, and kissing Kristen Stewart. Before I saw this I knew nothing about The Runaways but now I want to learn much more about them.

Tamara Drewe 10/10
So awesome and funny, great cast and great story, I enjoyed every second of it. Although the rocker guy reminded me of my best friend's waster ex which was a bit weird. I have just bought the graphic novel of it as loved it so much!!

Troll 2. This is a 0/10 and a 10/10 at the same time. This is often considered the worst movie of all time, there's even a documentary about it called "Best Worst Movie" or something like that. Everything about it is laughable, the acting is horrific, and the special effects are like something I could make in my living room. Oh, and there are no Trolls in the movie.

Ladies & Gentlemen The Fabulous Stains-- 9/10
Who knew Diane Lane could be that cool? It's hard to imagine her outside of Unfaithful or Nights in Rodanthe, but wow, she really pulled off the rocker look. It's a pretty old movie, but SlayerLV, you might like it if you liked The Runaways.
