I hate the scene from You're Welcome where Cordelia calls Eve "Lilah Junior." What a massive insult to Lilah! Seriously, as funny as that line is, I hate it. Lilah is one of my favourite characters. She's hot, she's tough, she's awesome. Eve can't possibly compare. She's such a pale comparison, similar to the way Gavin was for Lindsay. I think that was the point. The fact that Eve can't compare to Lilah; that Eve is trying to fill big shoes. Plus, Lilah was a liaison of sort until Eve took over. Similar roles. I think the "Lilah Jr." remark was funny. Plus remember that Cordelia just met Eve for the first time.

I just started thinking about this today: surely at some point in his life in LA, Angel must have been pulled over for a RBT and got asked for his license....which I assume he doesn't have

Pretty much everything they did to Cordelia in Season 4/Connor. I really liked Connor in Season 5 and Cordelia did get some nice closure in Season 5 (that had me bawling like a baby), but I was just constantly annoyed in Season 4.

^ I was gonna mention that sometime in here, but that's something that doesn't bug me...it downright infuriates me ...maybe there should be a thread 'Things that infuriate you'

...maybe there should be a thread 'Things that infuriate you' Ooh, I like this idea! SO many things infuriate me, on both shows, despite how much I love them.

Doesn't exactly sound like the most productive thing to do. This thread and the Buffy equivalent are more of an unanswered / unaddressed question type. A "things that infuriate you" thread would be nothing more than pointless nitpicking, and let's face it - nitpicking is not only pointless, but annoying. Very, very annoying. As in let's nitpick the nitpickers-type annoying, and who needs that?

I've recently started rewatching Angel. I don't like the inconsistencies in some of the rules. Like Angel can't enter a home unless he's invited, and in several instances he's in someone's home without an invite (and without the death of the person who lives there), that's just entirely irritating. Especially in the episode "Eternity" when he busts through the celebrity's window, clearly without an invite. Doesn't make any sense. But then they make a huge deal about him not being able to enter Kate's dad's apartment without an invite. I hate little things like that.

Like Angel can't enter a home unless he's invited, and in several instances he's in someone's home without an invite (and without the death of the person who lives there), that's just entirely irritating. If you're referring to "Five By Five", and the apartment Faith holds Wesley in, they explained that the guy who lives there was visited in the hospital, which leads to... Especially in the episode "Eternity" when he busts through the celebrity's window, clearly without an invite. Doesn't make any sense. But then they make a huge deal about him not being able to enter Kate's dad's apartment without an invite. I hate little things like that. ...the fact that if you say to a vampire "stop by any time" or "you should drop by if you're in the neighborhood", or in Cordelia's case with her apartment "if I find a place you're invited over", that means that the invitation doesn't have to be right at the person's door, as long as you're giving permission - like saying to someone 'yeah you can borrow my book if you want, if I'm not home just go in and get it - the key's under the mat'. Same thing - permission was granted. Therefore: The celebrity - Rebecca Lowell, DID invite him over. She invited him over to watch her television show while she was in his office. In "Five By Five", Cordelia mentions visiting the guy in the hospital, so we can safely assume that after she did that and told Angel about it, Cordelia asked for the invite when she talked to him, or Angel went and saw him - just off camera. A bit flimsy since it's based on assuming they did that but it would explain the fact that he busted in there.

I feel like Kate was a missed opportunity in Angel. They had this really awesome "omg cool" moment in Season 2's Epiphany with the revelation that Angel was allowed to enter her apartment without invitation to save her from killing herself. To have that coupled with her being fired from the LAPD just seems like setting up an awesome story to bring in a new partner to Angel Investigations or have some crazy storyline with her. For her to never appear in the tv series again just seemed like a big let down.
Granted, I know the actress' role in Law & Order probably had something to do with her not showing up after Season 2, but that doesn't change the fact that it felt like we were being set up for something more to happen.

Luckily she's in ATF. You are right however. It sucks that she never came back or ever left for that matter.

I don't mind that Kate moved on. I didn't feel cheated, she was resolved nicely. Her return in ATF was nice too.
Gwen bugged me big time. Didn't like the character much, but on the first appearance; fine, she served a purpose. Then she's back two more times in the season with flimsy excuses just to disappear again right afterwards. It was lame.

I only remember her coming back once and I can't even remember what episode that was in And actually, I kind of liked Gwen even if her character seems very X-Men Roguesque.

Gwen's first appearance was "Ground State".
Her other appearances were "Long Day's Journey" and "Players".

"Long Day's Journey" was also the episode that featured the "In Loving Memory of Glenn Quinn" dedication at the end.

^ What annoyed me about that episode was how Gwen was there with Team Angel at the end of the episode and I'm thinking she's gonna be in the next one, helping AI out against Angelus. Along comes the next episode and hey, where's Gwen?! Kinda annoyed about that. I liked Gwen (heh, way moreso than Nina), so imo, she should have appeared a couple more times

Gwen would have most certainly been a useful asset to the team.

Meh, I'm not a big fan of Gwen. Her appearances are a bit random and disposable, it felt like they were setting her up for a bigger role which never came.
Her powers are pretty cool, but her personality is just a rip-off of Rogue from X-Men and I've seen the whole "I can't touch anyone" angst done better in that franchise.
I think she gets worse in AtF, where she's just randomly Connor's girlfriend even though they have no substantial relationship. And the whole betrayal thing felt like cheap drama, I don't even really understand why she did it.
I don't hate her, I'm just kind of indifferent to her. She has obvious "cool" appeal but is just a bit of a half-hearted character IMO.
