Methinks it's Laura. Who else could it be? Well, that would be one way to remove Laura from the story in time for the DH switchover

It was a bit strange how they just sort of randomly ended back up at the Hyperion hotel in the comics in the first place. I mean they had to have semi canonized Aftermath to use Dez and James, they could have at least said they werent feeling the church vibe and wanted something more familiar but whatevs.

Wow I think that's Connor dead on the cover. It's the shirt. Very Connorish.

Still pissed we didnt get to see that extremely important moment. 2-When they decided to just stay in the Hyperion. I didn't mind the church, but it was a bit random them just moving back into the Hyperion. I'm not sure that it is Connor. The issues which pertain to James and his sis take place in the future as far as I know, and Connor et al have to deal with something else.

Hm, I agree. Could be this the issue where Angel starts getting in touch with Twilight?

Nice cover! I like the angle it's drawn from, makes it look less posed than some of Runge's other covers. Plus it has a nice jaggy quality I quite like.

Runge never fails to disappoint, I really hope this isnt one of those misleading covers tho where it has nothing to do with the contents of the issue like 37.

Runge never fails to disappoint Ya Runge's covers are always great. I think the covers were drawn and released before the big changes happened (Willingham leaving the title and the license going back to DH), so the covers would have represented what was going on in the issues, but the plot was sped-up and changed. The solicitations didn't reflect what happened in the issues either because of that.

Hmmm, Mooney's Blog says this is for 41.. Could be 42, though, he just says an "Upcoming Issue" , but the link says 41. Its looks like a finale cover though...

Love that cover-so full of emotion and foreboding. Hope Stephen is doing the rest of the covers.

I certainly hope to see Jenny Frison and Stephen Mooney finishing out the series on covers. Though how awesome would it be if #44 got a cover from every major artist? Franco Urru, Stephen Mooney, David Messina, Jenny Frison, Alex Garner...

The solicitations didn't reflect what happened in the issues either because of that. I just went over to the thread for issue 37 and read the solicitations and looked at the covers again. Seems like it would have been more of the Spike-champion-propechy stuff. Makes me so sad that DH is taking over. The stories DH have planned could be brilliant, but I would still be asking myself what could have been. Specially for Spike. Remember a writer/editor saying (in a blogpost maybe) that they had big plans for Spike? As a Spike fan, I can't say I'm super-thrilled. I wonder how many issues they had planned for, and what. I hope they tell us some day. Maybe in the extras for a HC? A girl can dream. Just the over all plot would be nice, no need for details. And then there's the Spike ongoing by Lynch that could have gone on for years and years... Seriously, not glad with Joss/DH now.
