It won't be BtVS without Buffy, Xander and Willow as the main cast -so I don't want that to change.

I'd like to see Andrew get his own book, but I doubt he will. I haven't gotten to the final arc of S8 yet, but from where I am Willow and Faith definitely need to have some time devoted to them. Willow's story would bring together the serpent lady, Kennedy, and hopefully Tara. Faith's story would include her relationship with Robin and of course Giles.
I don't care about artists really. I think a new artist for every comic would be fun. As for covers I like Jo Chen and Adam Hughes.

Well, I'm going to be Debbie-downer here, but I want a new artist. Pia Guerra looks ok. I want more likeness to the actors. I have a strong belief that since this is an expansion of the television show, it should reflect it as closely as possible. If not, you just have a Buffy series like in previous years. I think GJ did a lot of hard work and he's a good artist, but not for something like this where the characters aren't as recognizable because they don't really wear costumes. For this, it just fell short, at no fault of his own. It was truly the dialogue that separated the characters from one another here, not the interior art.

Bitsy, i love your ideas on art! Pia Guerra really needs to be on a Buffy book!
So I think since they're having several books, some longer than others, the two main books would be Buffy-centric and Angel-centric. Faith/Giles, Willow, and Xander/Dawn should all have their own shorter series, too.
As for villains, I'd like to see Amy stick around, maybe Drusilla, and of course something totally new!

I think there should be 3, maybe 4 ongoing series and then many miniseries involving characters that don´t appear much in the ongoings. I´d personally like Buffy, Angel, Faith and maybe Willow to have ongoing series, although a Willow miniseries with 8-12 issues would do too. As for miniseries, here are my ideas. - Ripper, this would be a pretty dark Giles prequel, involving Ethan Rayne and Eyghon(did I spell that right?) - Drusilla, simply because I love Dru, I think it'd be hard to come up with a good storyline for this character, but put a genius like maybe....Joss Whedon to work and it might turn out great. - Amy, maybe this would work better as a one-shot, but I think it'd be interesting to get a look inside Amy's mind. That´s it for now, I´m sure I´l think of more after ten minutes, but I have too go to the dentist...again.

I honeslty wanna see them throw two Angel books into the mix. one for himself where he interacts with whomever (buffy, spike, his own crew etc) and another for like Angel investigations with his crew and the various jobs and baddies they have to deal with. Kinda like How wovlerine has his own book but he's in the x-men books too but obviousloy on a much smaller scale since he's in like ten books a month lol.

I hope they give Angel one book at a time, or the completionist and/or perfectionist in me will have to buy everything and then figure out in what exact order the comics take place. That doesn's mean Angel can't appear in other titles though, I'd love Angel to visit Buffy once in a while, or make cameos in miniseries, I just hope they do it like in the tv-shows, Angel visits Buffy and then Buffy visits Angel, but two titles featuring Angel as a main character is too much imho.
ps: I'm back from the dentist, they tortured me.

I think that depends entirely on the type of book it would be, I agree Angel's individual story would be hard to tell in a book like Angel Investigations, because of all the other characters that would need elaboration, given AI would have the number of employees it has now. Maybe a book about Angel including 2-3 of his AI-buddies as main characters(maybe Connor, Kate & Illyria), and with the other members making frequent appearences but mostly going of into their own adventures in mini-series. This way Angel would have enough room for interesting character development, without sacrificing that of the other Angel-centric characters. But maybe that won't even be necessary, from the show and comics I have learned that a lot of Angel's strength as a character derives from his supporting cast.

True. Its sort of give and take cramming them in one book will limit both angel and his crew but its not impossible to avoid.

Assuming they aren't in a different universe/dimension/etc, I would love to see as much "interaction with the day-to-day world" stuff as they can get away with.
I love those moments that make the connection between our world and their world, like Harmony's reality show and Buffy and Willow talking about their Daniel Craig and Tina Fey fantasies.

Absolutely, they should let Buffy appear on Oprah. In all seriousness though, I think that's a good idea, I liked the civilian story in ATF for example, although the hole ''everybody knows about vamps'' storyline was pretty lame imho.

I just want Faith and Angel having their own series.
They are far too interesting of characters to be under the Buffy Season 9 title. I understand not giving Willow her own full series because Buffy/Willow/Xander is like an unbreakable thing. But Faith and Angel who have been well distanced from the Buffy series feel like they have so much more development and story to be told.

If Buffy season 9 follows in season 8's footsteps, I will cry. Season 8 is a mess. I enjoyed the first arc, however it then began its decent into a messy, confusing, over-the-top plot. Not only that but every single character is acting strangely, with the exception of Spike. I hope that season 9 is more faithful to the show, I want the slayer army gone and I want the series to focus on the key scoobies. It would also be good if the characters didn't do anything exceptionally out of character. Due to season 8 the Buffyverse has dug itself into a giant hole. The over-complicated and over-the-top plot, will be VERY hard to resolve, therefore it will be VERY hard to start fresh. With only 3 issues remaining, they cannot possibly clear the way for season 9.

More character moments. More cohesion. Less "this character suddenly knows about this mythology altering thing JUST AT THE RIGHT TIME!" Less inexplicable choices made by characters. Better writing. Better yet, more consistently good writing, because it keeps going back and forth from AWESOME to WHAHUH?
Mostly? For Angel NOT to be under the Buffy: Season Nine banner. It's insulting.

I want Brian Lynch writing on the Spike Series. ;D Will it happen? Odds may be against me, sadly.
I think Karl Moline should return for the Willow Series. His art fit so well in 'Goddesses and Monsters'.
I want Jo Chen to stay on the main, Buffy Series. Her work is just so amazing.
As for the Angel Series, I'm not sure what to want and expect. I know I want Illyria and Connor in this (That is if Illyria isn't tagging along with Spike). But it's hard to decide on what I want, until the IDW run ends.
If there's one thing I want for each series, it's this: One, permanent writer for each ongoing series. I hate the fact that S8 had numerous writers, and kept switching them every arc. I know it happens often in the comic verse, but I dislike it so much. Pick four core writers from S8, and assign them each to Buffy, Angel, Spike, and Willow.
As for miniseries, I'd like to see a Satsu one, and a Faith one (If she doesn't get a main title of her own.)

Definitely agree with more character moments. Although I like the concept of the Slayer army, the epic global scale of the series has robbed it of a certain intimacy. It wasn't really a problem earlier in the series, but since "Retreat" I've felt a bit disconnected from the characters (barring the odd moment here and there). As for the banner title, I don't find it insulting. It's no different from all the Marvel books using banner titles like Civil War and Dark Reign during series-spanning storylines. If the Angel book is closely involved with the Buffy storyline then it makes sense. I want a more cohesive Buffyverse, and having all the books united under one banner title kind of emphasises that.

Season 8 is still awesome, but it did get out of hand once we found out Twilight was Angel. Personally, i wish Twilight was someone else. and i totally agree. I would love to see some arcs focased on one character....Kinda of like "No Future for You". Also a back story or an arc focased on Satsu would be great. as for characters, you know me, i would beyond love to see Tara return. If she did return i would love to see her possibly a higher power of some kind. Or maybe even just one arc with her in it, kind of like what they did with Cordelia in "Your Welcome". Just brainstorming here.

I know it's a matter of opinion, but I don't want her back, especially as a higher being. :x I love, love, love Tara, but she's gone.

As much as I absolutely adore Tara I don't want her back. I feel like it would kind of cheapen the entire arc that followed her death and it would make death in the buffyverse seem less emotional since people could just come back. Not only that, but I'd be worried that they might do stuff to negatively affect her character.
