I went on a cruise with my family when I was 7. We went to Catalina Island for a few days, then docked in Mexico for a day, then back home. It was good times. I've been meaning to go to China at some point -- language immersion and all -- and my linguistics professor is also planning a trip to London and Paris for courses in Creative Writing and Linguistics. We'd all be going to both places, but the linguistics people would do some work on English dialects in London and the CW people would do something else, probably in Paris.

Stateside, I've been to Philly, Boston, D.C. a couple of times, and I lived upstate for a while. Went to San Francisco earlier this year. The Bay area is so chill. I'd love to go back and at least live on the West Coast some point in my life. Sometimes I think NY makes me die a little inside, imo. I've been to Vancouver and Montreal. I love those cities. My BFF just did a cross country tour, and she said the same thing you said, outofphase. "Hey look, cows! And... more cows! Is that a...? Nope. It's a cow." I'd actually love to do a cross- Canada tour by rail.
Outside of the country, I've been to England, Scotland, Spain, and Japan. Edinburgh and Barcelona are two of my favorite cities. There are so many cities in Europe I'd like to visit... I don't think I can even name them all. I think Paris, Stockholm and Copenhagen are at the top of my list though. And Prague (Has anyone seen Before Sunrise?) I'd also like to go to Buenos Aires, Australia, and Hong Kong as well. It would be so nice to have the money to travel.... sigh.

I want to do the Beijing to Dehli! WOW and the Egypt/Middle East ones look excellent too.
I so have the travel bug at the moment. Can't wait to be in Bali.

That interrail thing you were talking about sounds really awesome. Is it basically just like a bus pass that works for the day, where you can get on any train (of that company) for free for the duration (which I guess is a month)?
I have to do that. I'm going to start saving my money now.
