Does the "Buffy: Tales" hardcover coming out early next year contain both trades of Tales of the Vampires AND Tales of the Slayers? Thanks in advance!

Yes. This hardcover collects stories from: - MySpace Dark Horse Presents #31 and #32;
- Tales of the Vampires: Carpe Noctem parts 1 and 2;
- Buffy: Tales of the Vampires one-shot;
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Tales of the Vampires #1--#5;
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Tales of the Slayers #1--"Broken Bottle of Djinn";
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Tales of the Slayers TPB.

So this is only going to be available in hardcover? No TPB? That's what it looks like at this time. It is possible that they could release a TPB in the future, but they want to get that hardcover cash first, so I'm guessing it won't be for a good while if ever. |

I'm surprised they don't take that approach with the actual Buffy Season 8 collected books then of releasing HC first. |

I agree Josh, but they seem to have different strategies. Perhaps by releasing a more affordable TPB for the Season 8 arcs, they are hoping to draw more people into buying the individual comics while the series is still running. Just a theory from the marketing mind of Jelly Moffatt.

Yeah, I went to the Dark Horse site and was confused...that's why I came here.
Why does it say this:

Uhh, isn't #1 part of the Slayers TPB?

Tales of the Slayers and Tales of the Vampires aren't really miniseries... they're just blanket titles for Buffyverse-related one-shots that Dark Horse has released over the years.

I've got the trades but I'm giving them to a friend and picking up this hardcover...I really want a print edition of the MDHP story. |
