Urru must be having a hard time keeping up with this series. Kind of makes me sad that it won't be 1 consistent artist the whole series. I think I would have rather waited an extra month, no offense to Mooney... How many artist changes will this be now? I know there was an artist shift in the middle of Issue 2. It's like AtF all over again, but not in the good way.

Well it looks like Nicola Zanni is going to be co-drawing issue 4 with Urru according to the solicit on IDW's website.

I think I would have rather waited an extra month, no offense to Mooney... Count me in on the disappointment ! I feel bad about it because I really liked most of Stephen's work on AtF, but I'd much rather have the same artist going through the series and Franco is my favourite IDW Artist for Spike whereas Stephen I always think of as an Angel ( the character) specialist and not so much for Spike. It could be, of course, that he draws an ace Willow.

*Sigh* More fill-in art? Really? My enthusiasm for this series is dropping fast.

It makes me wonder if IDW has to have these issue out by a certain date before their license runs out, hence the rush.

Just to clarify about Urru not being on art - Mariah Huehner posted this on the IDW forum.
So it is nothing to do with IDW, but personal issues with Franco. I send my best wishes and hope all is ok with him.

I love Mooney! I might pick up his issues and save the rest for the TPB.

Fair enough Urru need to take out, but urgh, Mooney... Last Angel in Hell had a really fun story, but was ruined by his horrible cluncky artwork I thought. I just hope he can at least take his time on it, and not do a rush job like he obviously did on some of those panels in ATF, god

Mooney didn't rush "After the Fall." At all. His art in it was great.

I kind of feel bad for complaining now. I hope everything with Mr. Urru turns out OK. An in my opinion, who better than Mooney to fill in.

Mooney is a great artist but I think he does rush sometimes. His art in First Night was brilliant, that was the first I'd seen of his work and I loved it. His work later in AtF was good too, especially the Cordy scenes, although it got a bit rushed later on. I think Boys and Their Toys and Last Angel in Hell were both very rushed in places (mainly the actiony splash pages), although there were still some impressive close-up panels. Not Fade Away on the other hand, seemed too photo referenced. I'm a fan of his style, which is bit stiff but has a dark and moody charm, and hopefully he'll take his time with Spike.
And regarding Urru, it's totally understandable if he has personal issues but still very disappointing for this series.

Sorry to hear about Urru. Hope things aren't too bad.
Was really looking forward to more Lynch/Urru but it's understandable. I wonder which writers IDW are getting to choose from.
And Huehner seems nice. I like her. :}

I'm honestly not trying to be a dick here, at all. Jesus, not like I could draw one iota better.
But come on, if you've really checked those pages, esp the top panel of pg 20, and you think that's a fully detailed picture that could NOT be improved upon given more time... come on. That's all I'm saying
