Probably the best comic I've ever read, and I cannot imagine a better one either. I'm on issue 18, but this series is perfect so far. Really, check it out! It's super great. The writer actually wrote No Future For You in S8. (He also wrote the superb Marvel comic, Runaways.)
Trust me, if you haven't read this comic, you'll love it.

I started and finished Y earlier this year. I absolutely loved it. 355 was definitely my favorite character.

Oh my god I seriously almost started a topic on this today because I didn't see one. I literally just started reading this. My friend let me borrow Volume 1 and I loved it so I went out and bought my own copies of Volume 1 and 2 of the TPBs. I'm probably going to buy Volume 3 whenever I get paid again. I'm hooked.

I read the whole thing about two years ago, and I still rave about it to anyone I can. My favorite character was prooobably Hero, and Rose (for the eyepatch. ).

Pfft... they have NOTHING on Ampersand. Agreed. I shed some serious tears when he died at the end. I think if any comic series is as close to as perfect as one can get, then Y: The Last Man is that series. I haven't read it all the way through in a few years as I'm collecting the hardcovers (they come out sooooo sloooooooow), so I can read through it all again once they are all out.

This is the series that got me interested in comics. I met BKV at a signing and thanked him profusely for introducing me to something great (and fairly late!).

I shouldn't have clicked on the spoiler tag. -facepalm- The hardcovers look really great, but can anyone confirm this for me? There's four out, and one more coming, and all together they're a little pricey; Around 100$ for all five, according to ebay that is. It seems like a pretty good deal for 60 comics in hardcovers, but just to make sure... It is worth it, right? Are there any extras in them? Thanks, so whoever answers!

I'm at least hoping there's a cover gallery, because all of the covers are beautiful.

There's a cover before each new issue (as opposed to all in the back). Book One has a sketchbook in the back and Book Two has a script for #18, not sure what Three and Four have. I can't wait to get Book Three & Four for Christmas, although I still can't read them until they are all released.

Thanks for the info, Wyndam! I definitely wanna pick those five HCs up, but maybe I'll wait and see if a complete collection comes out one day. I literally just finished the series, and... Just wow. I was blown away by the last arc/issue. I think the ending was easily the strongest point in the series, which is saying a lot, because the whole story is terrific! Some spoilers will be in the following, so if you haven't finished the series, don't read!Tara Maclay's death doesn't have anything against 355's. And that's not a good thing! So, so, so sad! I think I've decided that Dr. Mann (Allison) is my favorite character. Don't get me wrong, I love the core four(: Yorick, 355, Allison, and Ampersand), but the Doc just really connected with me. Her goodbye scene with Yorick is one of my favorite scenes in the entire series; This moment is when I decided she was my favorite. :3 I was so, so depressed with her death, shown in the final issue! So sad! (As was Ampersand's!) I guess she'll live on through her clones... Somewhat. The final issue is the best in the entire series, I think I can say. It's just an amazing finisher. And it managed to wrap everything up! Best comic ever. PS: I hope Alter is rotting away forever, somewhere. Offing poor Mommy Brown and 355! I know she had issues, but... Rot!

News about a potential television adaption! This really excites me. The first thing I thought when I heard of the potential movie was "Nooo! They should do a TV show!" I think it would work a lot better. I mean, the story took place over the course of several years. Hopefully the success of The Walking Dead might have a positive effect on it getting picked up. Not all comic books will work well as movies. >.<

^^ That's so great! ;D It definitely needs to be a show, not a movie. I don't even know if a trilogy would justify just how amazing the comic is. The Walking Dead would be sure to be a leading figure for the series, most likely. Let's hope that this'll go through one day!
