So, what did the vampires becoming famous and everyone thinking the slayers were terrorists have anything to do with anything? It seems the entire arc of the story could have happened in the final 6 issues. Do these story elements have anything to do with upcoming events? (I always thought it was odd how easily people accepted vampires and am still waiting on an explanation. If there is none...seems sorta random and unneeded).

Tyler, I already answered this for you HERE. Also, this is a question better suited for Scott, not Jeanty.

Sending off the next batch. AC, I'll be sending both sets of yours since I forgot the first batch. Georges has told me that he's done with #40, and has plenty of time to answer these, so go nuts. I wanna get them to him by this Wednesday, so go nuts, ask all the questions you have. But please be mindful that this is a professional who's been exceedingly generous with his time with us, and therefore, be civil and courteous in your questions. Constructive critique is fine, but aggressive and accusatory tones will result in your questions not being used, and a stern warning. Thanks all... some great stuff here, and I'd like to see more.

We've been pondering in the Issue 40 thread, and I'd like to ask if your cover (For issue 40) has been altered for the public viewing, until the issue is released in January? For example: has a character been removed, altered, or not included in the version we've seen?
If you don't want to answer this, feel free, also. xD

So, we can ask more questions? As many as we want? (Ok, i understand, not 40 in a row, but quite a few?) About anything, not just the comics? For example, i can make questions about the series as well? His point of view, always....

Yes, you can ask more questions. And yes, questions are open to the TV series as well, as they always have been.
As a general note to all, I'd rather not have any more shipperesque questions. I let a couple of them in, but what I've learned is that there will always be an offended party with those, so no more of those please. I think Jeanty has spoken enough about the shipping issues.
@vampslayer: Your latest question has already been asked by leyki. I just haven't updated the questions on deck bit to reflect it, but if you scroll down the first page, you'll see her question there.

1)Who's the one character from the T.V. show that you wish you got to draw in season 8 and didn't?It can be from Angel's show too.
2)I enjoyed your work on the Batman side of things such as The Return of Bruce Wayne issue and the Manhunter co-feature.Do you have any DC comic or Marvel comic work coming up during the Buffy break?
3)Do you have any new thoughts about the Jossless Buffy reboot film now that it looks like it's going forward at Warner Bros. with the producer of the Chris Nolan Batman films and has a screenwriter?

Hey, George,
Your art in this issue is great. I'm sure that some of the panels will be declared iconic in the future. And, as a Spike fan, I'd love to thank you for his last close-up - that of a ragged warrior who never gives up. Fantastic job!
Questions:
1) On the page where Buffy breaks the Seed, botton panel features many pictures of girls. The common opinion is that these girls are slayers and they feel the same shock. But it's unclear if they feel the end of magic in general or the loss of their slayer powers. Were you given any specific instructions regarding that panel?
2) It look like Amy and Warren are dining at the Piazza San Marco in Venice - the place the most subjected to inundations. Was it a deliberate choice to demonstrate that the catastrophes, produced by space-frak and demon invasions were more or less local and the rest of the Earth isn't affected? Or it was a random location?
3) A question about #35: at one of the panels Buffy has three wristwatches on her hand. There was a theory that they symbolize three different timelines: Buffy, Fray and a new timeline that cristallyzes as season 8 reaches its end. It there any truth in our speculations or these three wristwatches don't symbolize anything?

1) There is speculation circulating the boards that Willow may have been crippled by her fall from the sky in issue 39. I understand if you can't confirm or deny that but could you tell us if there is any validity to such speculation?
2) Are we going to find out how Giles knew that destroying the Seed would stop Twilight, and why he chose not to act when they were first in the room with the Seed?
3) Does Xander show up in issue 40?

Hi again, Mr Jeanty
Another question: I guess no one knows much about season 9 as yet, but from what you do know, do you think Spike might have a better role in it than he's had this season?

Hi, again
1)I just don't understand why all those drawings, with the general spying on Dawn-Xander's conversation in Spike's ship, and then what he said to Xander when Dawn was wounded, that breaking the seed was an option. So, basically only three people knew that breaking the seed was an option, Willow, the general, and Xander. There is a conversation going in the boards, especially after the pre-scripts that Mr Allie gave to buffyfest, that the story was kind of changed the last minute, making Giles going after the seed instead of trying to kill Angel, maybe because that gave Giles a more epic death, if Angel had killed him after he was being attacked, that would look like self-defense. So, instead of making Xander breaking the seed, or informing Buffy that she has a 3rd option, Giles tried to break it loosing his life. What do you have to say about this?
2)In the previous issue we saw Buffy loosing her powers near the seed, and in this issue Giles says that "their power fades near the seed", their, Buffy's and Angel's, how come then they both seem so super powerful while fighting each other near the seed? They both have their super powers, although they are standing right next to the seed.
3)We have seen Angel telling lies to Buffy in the past, example, he tells her that he hadn't fed on a living human being since the day he was cursed with a soul, but we see him in China, killing only rapists and murderers and thieves and scoundrels just to prove himself to Darla that he can be bad even with a soul, in order to make her take him back. And then we see Angel, after that space sex with Buffy, being totally aware of the twilight dimension and happy about it and having no worries at all about what happens in Earth.
At what point exactly, do you think that Angel was totally aware that he was going to leave Earth and every living thing on it to die? Was it when he first let twilight affect him? After some time? When do you think it happened exactly?
4)In a previous question, you said that Buffy loved Spike. What do you think was the turning point in their relationship? When did she actually started to fell in love with the guy?
5)We saw that basically, every important man in Buffy's like, abandoned her. Her father, Angel, Riley, Giles in season 6 when he needed him the most, and finally Spike, sb that basically she took for granted and didn't even bother to let her know that he was alive. Do you think that our girl was basically feeling lonely? Didn't have somebody in her life in season 8? Do you think that this was the reason that she tried a guy relationship? And do you think that her feelings for Xander came out of loneliness? After confiding him and him turning her down, we don't see any more feelings from her, and love just don't go away like that. What's your opinion about it, or what have you heard from the writers?
6)Who do you think is the most developed character in the Buffyverse and why?
7)Ok, and i final question, the notorious "no, you don't", that Spike said when Buffy finally said "i love you" in Chosen. Since now, you are also a fan, i would like to hear how you interpret Spike's answer.
Thanks in advance

"I think it's a beautiful sunset."
Hello again, Georges,
Will we ever get a solid explanation of the meaning of the Twilight's symbol and why 'Buffy was right' in her initial guess about it ? Issue 40 perhaps? Or is it going to be left to our imagination - sort of like the 'prince' and the 'betrayal' ? If the issue 39 was all about total devastation and destruction of all hope - how can Twilight still mean anything positive? Please give it your best guess.
Will we ever see or hear from Whistler again in S8? S9 ?
There seems to be a debate between those who believe that Giles intentionally sacrificed himself in order to jolt Buffy into action - either to (1) kill Angel or to (2) destroy the Seed. Do you think her not killing him was justified in the end? (It had cost the world its magic whilst if she killed Angel again the world would have been spared and the magic would have remained.)

Tyler, I already answered this for you HERE. Also, this is a question better suited for Scott, not Jeanty. But were you involved in the writing and planning and talking with the writers throughout the season? I wanted someone close to the writers to answer this. I know it's better suited for Scott...but Jeanty has hinted at plot points to come numerous times.

This is an issue that's been spelt out in the books so far. You may think that it's sloppy, but there it is. Feel free to submit another question (or 5).

I'm sorry that you feel it's unfair. I'm not contesting that it isn't logical. However, as it has been answered textually, and has been explained to you, I see no reason to send it off for a similar answer. If your contention was with why those choices vs. other ones that would have been less tangential and perhaps clearer, then I maintain that the question is entirely suited for Joss and Scott.

1) In the comic, was there supposed to be any ambiguity about whether Giles was going to try to destroy the Seed or was he thinking about attacking Angel as well?
2) We assume the Sight and prophetic dreams come from the Powers That Be or others that exist in another plane or dimension. So, with the Seed broken, would Slayers no longer have prophetic dreams? In Fray , Harth Fray does but we assume the Seed is still broken. And what about those like Drusilla? Will she and oracles or whatever no longer have the sight?
3) Did Buffy know that Spike's ship would save him or assume that once on the ground Spike would scurry back to safety?
