I have a question about the print quality of this issue - I looked a t a few copies and everyone of them had smudgy/light print in the panel where Roden is talking about the guidebook - are the ones in the US or elswhere the same? Mine does seem a bit lighter in that panel, but barely. I didn't even see it the first time I read through.

Sorry no, mine hasn't got that error on it. Also, I'm just here now to stress how much I hate the stupid BTVS logo on the last panel of the arc. It would look much more effective if it were just a black box, like fade to black. It bugged me so much when I realised they hadn't gotten rid of it in the Long way home TPB. maybe arcs should end w/ executive producer joss whedon lol

I just don't think it does anything and it shouldn't really be there. Black box? Anyone, lets vote and send it to Dark Horse!!! Idea, maybe!!!

I love that logo! It's so cool. I always loved in the Season 5 promos how the letters would all form together and there would be a big metallic *clink* sound. I've even seen people online with tattoos of it.

I like the logo too. It makes the end of the arc seem more end-y.

Another question - are they all printed in Canada? My copy says so - it is funny that it gets printed in Canada, goes back to the States for distribution and then gets sent to Canada.
Also, that panel with the Guidebook is almost impossible to see in both the regular and alternate covers.
As for the "song". I'm thinking it may be "Que Sera Sera" (Whatever will be, will be). It is an old Doris Day song but has been redone by more modern artists such as Johnny Thunders, Damien Rice & David Gray, David Ryan Harris and very likely others (I don't know any of these artists). It was a saying that you would say when things did not go your way. Kind of shrug your shoulders and say "que sera sera".

BEST ISSUE EVER! I'm happy. I love spectacular death scenes, and this issue was full them. Twilight is actually really cool. I wonder what his super powers are.
If Willow dies, I will declare shenanigans. Same goes for Xander, but to a slightly lesser extent.

I remember on the IDW boards Ryall said they printed everything in China for better paper quality so Dark Horse printing in Canada is a lot less far away... Also it seems logical she refers to "God Save the Queen" as a line in the verse goes "No Future For You".

That God (Fate) saved Buffy (The Queen) from Genevieve & Roden's plan? That would make the title (No Future For You) make sense in context of the story.

I really liked it we saw a little Ripper action and Faith has never been better she is really trying to put the past behind her and try and do some good, to bad Buffy can't do the same with her. I'm pretty sure that the punk slayer Simone is the inside guy she is just not right always asking for guns. Wasn't sure there was a need for Giles little elf sidekick guy and I think it would have made a better point If Giles went in to save Faith himself. Is it just me or did Willow like like a transexual when Buffy was on the phone to Giles. Look at the page again she looks like a guy and Xander has grown a pair on Jeanty's cover for Wolves at the Gate. Can't wait for both of Joss's standalones finally we will find out what happened to giant Dawn although waht will Joss do with Dawn after her Giant issues are fixed because after season 5 she really wasn't much of an interesting character unless Buffy does send her to the college they were talking about in Issue 1 that makes the most sense to me. And I like the logo at the end of the arcs it just finishes off the issue nicely.

Hadn't thought of that, I just thought it would be logicial because of the title. But now that you say that: "God save the queen she ain't no human being" makes sense too. Since Buffy's a slayer, not really human, at least so says Twilight.

Where do those lines come from? I've only heard the official version - we (Canadians) don't sing it all that often anymore, but there are some events and special groups that still sing it a the start of a meeting. Plus - when the Queen visits Canada (duh). Whose version of the song does the one Mikey posted come from.

Hehehe, it's not a nationl anthem it's a song by the Sex Pistol which is meant to make fun of England and it's queen.

I'm not sure if anyone's asked this yet, but have we worked out what the cover was all about? Having read the comic three times now, I still haven't worked out what Faith naked and burning up her dress has to do with the issue!

MB x I think it was symbolic for the fact that she's ending her old life of fighting and becoming a new person. Sort of a 'new skin' thing.

FINALLY got this today! What a fantastic issue! SO good. First of all, is it just me or is the paper different this issue? I'm liking it if it is. I'm very happy with the way this arc ended. I felt bad for Gigi when Faith accidentally killed her, she's a bitch, but she seemed very misled by Roden. Saying that, I'm happy that Roden got killed (even though he was a great character) because he was the true villain of the arc. The flashback with the mayor and the scene from "Graduation Day part 1" was nice, with Faith talking about how she felt loved. Although, I don't really understand when and where it was supposed to have taken place. Is that Faith's apartment they're in? Any ideas? It's a shame about the Buffy/Giles not speaking thing. Although, I'm sure they'll make up. It just seems that there is just a bit of tension between them after the events of season 7. The Giles/Faith team-up is gonna be interesting. TWILIGHT! The dangling legs from issue #1 were his! He seems like he's gonna be a cooooooooooool villain! And an inside man?! Can't wait to find out who that is! I hope it's not Giles because someone above said about the Buffy/Xander/Willow chemistry but to me, Giles is a big part of that too and I don't think he'll ever betray Buffy like that. Anyway, excellent issue, great end to the arc and bring on "Anywhere But Here".

The cover with the flames and burning dress, I think was symbolic of transforming/purifying Faith as a character. Symbolic of the change she's going through.

One small problem I had with this issue (and it was incredibly small) was that the spell Giles used against Roden was almost the exact same as the one Willow used to teleport Buffy. Did anyone else notice that?
