Great, fab, great! Really moved the plot along......
Seemed short, too many previews....
And this could go in so many different directions...... - faith turns evil and turns against buffy - faith pretends to turn evil, but is working for buffy all along - faith redeems gigi from evil and rescues her from clutches of the 'twilight' cult and so on and so on......

colonelforbin is right, blue blood means aristrocratic / royal. But Whedon is being double-meaning here, because Buffy is refered to to as the Queen (of the Slayer 'royal family').
One niggle - if Gigi and the 'twilight' guys know about Buffy, it would follow that they know about Faith as well and that she too would be a target. Or maybe they know she's Faith, hence the reference to Faith being blue blooded (i.e. part of slayer royalty).

I loved this issue. My favourite quote was when Renee said Buffy was after "laptop-geek Willow, not broomstick-action Willow" that for me is the epitome of Buffy's dialogue. I also realised how well Georges draws Willow, it's really amazing. I also agree that he has drawn Faith much better in this issue. It did seem short but I put that down to me seeing too many previews beforehand. I have one question, what did Faith mean when she was fighting the Gargoyles and said "Yo rock, meet hard place" was there some meaning in that which I just didn't get?
I would love if Faith and Genevieve become friends... or fight to the death, either will suffice.
I realised today that one aspect in which the comics can tell a story more effectively is by the thoughts of the characters. Being able to read what they're thinking gives an insight which couldn't have been as easily depicted on television.

Definately multiple meanings with the tern "blue blood" The textbook definition as I gave, the 2nd alusion given by airgirl relating to the Slayer line and to be quite honest I see a third by equating royalty with evil as Mikey suggested orgininaly. Given my knowledge of BKV I'd assume he meant all three, at least on some level. I just wanted to give the dictionary definition so you all don't go around thinking you've increased you vocabulary just to be corrected. But, I do see a hidden meaning that would suggest evil. Not to mention BKV is a little ecentric and possibly equates royalty with evil, I know I do!

"Caught between a rock and a hard place" is an expression meaning that you're in a tight situation. She was just playing on that expression.

This issue did seem much shorter, but I still thought it was great! I like that theory. We have some very intelligent/brain-stormy people here. I'd actually forgotten about the feet until now. I also wanted to comment on something interesting phil said, but now I can't think of what it was... Overall, 8.5/10. I want to give it a 9/10, but that would sort of seem like I'm biased, and I... well, I am. Buffy rules, yada yada. Did anyone remember that she was supposed to be speaking with an accent? I remembered, but then I was shocked that she was expected to remember to speak in the accent once she woke up at Gigi's. Willow really is drawn so great. And I'm kind of glad that Georges hasn't seemed to use Aly's look from HIMYM. That would definitely have to go past Joss first, but I'm still glad it's at a length that's different from a) CHOSEN and b) Alyson's. Who is Amy Winehouse? As Scott Allie said, SADDISTS! But seriously, that's pretty much how I am. Any song that actually has a meaning that everyone else passes over. When Faith makes the comment about the rock and hard place, I thought she was basically saying, "Hey, gargoyle [hard thing]. Meet the ground [hard place]. Cause then he hits the ground. Yeah, i think that is deffinitely the floating guy. Those pictures look like they were taken from that exact night. And finally a good picture of Buffy with her hair down. I bet Roden is going to catch Faith trying to contact Giles in the next issue. I also believe he might die in issue 8. Just a thought. The imbecile.

Love the hair down, absolutely hate that picture. She looks like she's 13! How cool is this? I always had Season 8 on hold, and when I picked up the comic on Wednesday, the person working there said, "We don't have them on hold anymore because we get like 100." 100! They have like 2 or 3 for all the other comics

I FINALLY got Issue #7 today and I adore it! The beginning with Faith looking back on her fight with Buffy in "Graduation Day Part 1" was nice. It was quite a funny issue as well, Faith made me laugh with some of her comments like when she's taunting that security guard lol! The knife in her hair was cool too. Roden and the gargoyles seem very creepy. We saw more of Genevieve which is good. I liked the bit with Willow and Dawn, and how Dawn's eating apples which are like the size of berries to her. And it was cool to see Renee again and hear some talk about Amy and Warren. The bit when Faith and Genevieve have a talk and a cigarette was cool I thought and when the gargoyles lifted Faith up and they had a fight and she killed them. That was cool! The end was good with Genevieve telling Faith about the slayers and Roden not looking too happy. Then revealing that she wants to kill Buffy! Such a cool ending! Loved this issue, and I can't wait for the next one! (which I also love the boarders for)

I just read it. Wheeeeee.
Even if Genevieve does kill Buffy, Willow would smite her before she had a chance to do anything evil. Why is Giles so scared of her?

My favourite quote was when Renee said Buffy was after "laptop-geek Willow, not broomstick-action Willow" that for me is the epitome of Buffy's dialogue. Agreed, that really sound likes something tv Buffy would say, but did anyone else think the cliff hanger ending was slightly obvious?

Right when Gigi was talking about killing the Queen and opening the thing, I knew it would be something Buffy in there. It was still cool, just not surprising.

I just read mine yesterday and I have to say it was my favorite, I'm really hoping that Faith is just gonna end up pretenting to be evil but still be on Buffy's side.

Yeah, I agree with the consensus that the ending was quite obvious. But what is cool is all the guessing about what Faith will do next. Maybe Gigi will make her an offer she can't refuse - better than Giles could offer. Or maybe Faith turning evil is obvious. My guess is that they will keep us guessing on this one right to the end.
