Has anybody else noticed that at the top of the season 8 page, the covers (links) for issue 8 & 9 are the wrong way around?

Shouldn't this thread be pinned since it is the current issue?

I have just been looking on screencap paradise (to kill time) and went back to the fight scene with Buffy and Faith. Buffy looks truely remorseful as soon as she realises what she has done to Faith. I had never thought about it before.

Not the best issue but still a great one. I did like the fight between Faith and the flying gargoyles. That was sweet! Plus the talk Dawn and Willow had was very T.V. show. Brings back the old days....

Just read it and absolutely LOVED it! Excellent story, great writing (makes me miss the TV show even more), and great art. I'm thrilled it's selling well so hopefully we will get more than 24 issues. Love the Dawn as giant story-I never much liked Dawn but this story is really good. I also hope Faith is pretending to be bad in the next issue. As for Buffy and Xander together-haven't decided if that would be good or bad-but I'm sure it would be interesting.

Not even Riley was normal.

Right FINALLY read this issue. got lost in the postal strike i think but finally got my hands on it.
Overall i thought it was the most disappointing issue so far. I still enjoyed it but just felt like wtf thats the end already...but nothings happened! I did like the art work of faith when she was fighting those gargoyles. she was so f**ked up I love seeing the hero really badly beaten etc...not cos im sadistic just adds to the omgosh factor.lol.
the end was obvious as well but in general I just felt like we didnt seem to get anywhere other than oop those stone guys are dead.
Im thinking all the action will be in the last 2 issues...so Im very excited.

i actually really like this issue. though since genevine wants to kill buffy,im really hoping faith doesnt ''help'' her. i dont want faith being the villain again. she has alot of potential as a good/anti-hero slayer rather than the bad girl. though, iagree with everyone else, the ending was a bit obvious, but still good
im also hoping they make a faith spinoff(either try and ask eliza again, or in comics)

Is there any way we could have the projected street date for each issue posted in the first topic? Maybe at the very beginning of the post?

I have a serious nitpick about the Amy Winehouse name-dropping.
Winehouse(who I find very painful on the eyeballs)'s first album came out in 2003. Season Eight is apparently taking place in mid-2004. While it's quite possible that Gigi is a fan of the tattooed stick-insect, I find it extremely doubtful that Faith would have heard of her, as that particular album as yet to be released statewise.
When I've brought this to other fans, they've explained it away as Giles having introduced Faith to Winehouse and other British pop culture as part of her training to infiltrate Gigi's mansion.
The same Giles who thought rock and roll ended with the Bay City Rollers?

People need to stop ridiculously over analysing random and unimportant things like it. Its kinda makes me laugh. its a comic not a factual historical book based on real events.

My only point is that it's sloppy writing, especially from a writer (Brian K. Vaughan) I've come to expect better from.
My major grip with this arc is that Vaughan insists on writing Faith as a total frigging moron.
I beleive the avator is from Requim for a Dream, right?
