The likenesses are really inconsistent, but hopefully that gets better with time.

As far as recurring villains go, the First is still out there, so it could conceivably come back at any time. I doubt it will show it's face for a while, mostly because everyone's still sick of it from season seven, but it's only a matter of time before it pops back up. I'd guess there could be an appearance in Season Nine

It took thousands of years for it to finish it's plan to kill the slayers, so maybe it will be awhile before it acts again (maybe in Fray?)

A great issue... I found it interesting that the bad Slayer's name is Savidge, which almost sounds like "savage," which describes her behavior. If this is a story that the Faith TV movie / spin-off series could have featured, I'm sorry to think that it never had a chance to be on screen. The comic is great though, so I'm happy to see what Faith has been up to!

But mostly I hope she'll get away and be a recurring troublemaker. It's been awhile since we've had a new, interesting Big Bad on "Buffy" (sometime pre-S7, at least), and based on early returns, Savidge looks like she could fill that role, big time. Huge props to BKV for creating a brand-new baddie, rather than just recycling a previous one (Joss--Amy and Warren? Seriously? ). I think BKV did a great job at writing this installment but I don't think he should be given all the props for it. As far as i know Joss is overseeing this whole project like he did the show. It's still his baby so no matter who the villian at any given time that is up to him in the end. I'm just saying it's not really fair to judge Joss's scripts and praise someone else's when all the final decisions are made by him. OK I finally got my copy I thought it was really good and is definately in my top 3 faves of this series. I just loved the little things like the Beatles sweater Giles wore, Xander's Sunnydale swim team shirt, and Giles saying "five by five" I entirely agree. it just brings out pieces of the characters and the past that are so fun to see..

Hey guys! Being from the UK it's hard to find all the season 8 comics, so I had them shipped from TFAW, cost me a bomb, but they're fabulous, the covers are amazing and I'm loving the story! So if you want, you can add my MSN and we can natter about the storyline if you want: Send me a message via Slayalive and I'll give you my addie. No spoilers and no perverts, just clean buffy chat <33

I just went back and read No Future part one and does anyone else think the vampires look too green when it cuts to Robin and his group of Slayers fighting? I think the vampires Paul Lee drew in The Chain were better.

That is compltely the colorist's decision and Jeanty and Lee are both just pencillers. Please don't start disliking Jeanty's work because of Dave Stewart (colorist)

I don't dislike Jeanty's work, I've actually grown to like it significantly more over time, even though I still have issues with how he draws Buffy always with her hair up. Dave Stewart is the one that is leaving the comic right? Being replaced by Michelle someone? Anyway I was just saying I found it strange that they were so green, it didn't seem right.

When did it state that Dave Stewart is leaving? If so then it is probably Michelle Madsen working on the colours as she helped out on Fray.

Scott said Dave was leaving in his Strangely Literal interview on Wednesday. And whatever Michelle it was, Scott said that joss knew her work from one of the Serenity comics.

Okay... so I didn't read all 11 pages of comments here, so it's entirely possible this was mentioned already.
I just re-read No Future for You Part 1, and I noticed something. When Faith kills the vamp kids, there are 6 kids there. There's a photo with only 5 kids, and only 5 stakings. Does anyone know why she didn't kill the 6th kid? And was the 6th kid the one who called her a "worthless whore" when she stabbed Giles?

I wouldn't call that a blooper or a mistake. It just means that it happened "off screen" or the comic equivalent.

It bothered me from the beginning and I really hope they undo their mistake in the NFFY TPB. You can clearly tell that Faith only stakes five vampire kids because there are only five "Pafts". And why would they show five kids in the picture when there are six?

The 6th staking probably happened off screen like dane5by5 said and maybe one of the kids was sick or for some reason couldn't be in the family photo.
