It can be a long wait. But its always worth it for the monthly Buffy goodness.

It can be a long wait. But its always worth it for the monthly Buffy goodness. And now we also get Angel as well as Buffy, so we get Buffyverse action every 2 or so weeks!

Hi,I'm Scott a poster on BAF-Authors groups.yahoo.com/group/baf-authors. BuffySMGlover and I had a discussion about Season 10 that he asked me to post here. This is my response to BuffyFanOne's review of Issue 10. I've heard it suggested that the whole bank robbery thing is why Buffy and Giles had their falling-out which would make sense. I've also heard it suggested that the Slayer that Giles most wants Faith to keep from falling into the abyss-is Buffy. It would be a nice twist on the Buffy/Faith relationship if that's what happens when Faith makes her inevitable return... I'm also guessing that Buffy will be wrestling with the temptations of her greater power as much as she'll be wrestling with Twilightthrough Season 8. I think that Buffy will come to regret that bank heist very much and in that regret will find the key to defeating > Twilight...You had an option that Buffy herself betrayed Buffy in that poll [at BAF-Authors] and I voted for that because that just seemed so Jossian (Willow is way too obvious...). What I'm guessing that means is that, somehow, the corruption involved in the act of the bank heist will rebound on Buffy when she least expects it-that her spirit will need to be pure to fight Twilight and it's definitely not at the moment... > I was amused to see that, even in her fantasies,Buffy sticks stictly to her types. She fantasises about actors best known for playing a dark brooding avenger and a cynical, blonde,British killing machine. > Sound like anybody else Buffy knows? > I loved the explanation for Dawn's giantism. Now,even her slight of Buffy in favor of Willow makes sense. It wasn't that she doesn't appreciate Buffy-it's that she could never, ever admit to doing something that she's so ashamed of to Buffy. Buffy is her hero... > Finally,I,too, would love to see more of Robin. They certainly left the door open for that... Best wishes, Scott

Based on this issue, I think the best thing for Buffy and Willow to do is go their seperate ways after the confrontation with Twilight.
As much as I hate the bitch, if Kennedy really is the woman Willow loves, Buffy needs to do the best thing for Willow's happiness and step out of her life. Willow has lost everything because of her devotion to her ungrateful friend, and it's time they ended their relationship.
Can you tell it breaks my fanboy heart to write this?
I'll never get tired of saying this: I really hate Joss Whedon.

That's a great review of the issue - thanks for posting it here! That review was actually by BuffyFanOne, not me, for SlayAlive Reviews. I removed it from Scott's post because of the formatting issues from email, but it can be read at slayaliveblog.blogspot.com .

So, I thought that the page where Buffy looks into the future and sees herself crying on he ground. Then Robyn tell hers she was betrayed by the most uexpected person....I thought that was a scene from ABS. Now it is clearly not.

I feel ABS was more of a full episode of Buffy then the other issues same as AwBH, they seem to have more in them then the arcs which is good. I could hear the voices of Sarah and Nic in this issue which helped with the effect by far the best yet

it really does break my heart to see willow not really a part of the gang. perhaps that will be resolved in the WatG arc.

Just got this one yesterday along with A beautiful sunset. This are some of the better pencils I've since the start. Especially Kennedy's likeness. I like how Buffy refers to her brattiness. I like Ken, she's no Tara, but it's a good change. She makes me think of what it could have been like if Cordelia was ever a slayer and had to work with Buffy.
With Willow being so outside-ish I can partially understand do to her fears. The part whe she mentions that she and Tara could have left town to someplace better to raise Dawn is something that resonated with me for years. Anyone of B's friends could have split town or not gotten involved with the whole Slayer thing, but it takes a personal tragedy for one to realize that.
Kudos on the Hail Mary pass move.

I know I always go on about hair and fashion in the comics but it was a major part in Buffy and in this issue I was appalled by what buffy was wearing to be honest. And Cliff Richards couldnt draw a womans body if one hit him in the face :S That hideous shirt thing with flowers was awful so what i try and picture her in is one of them oversized yet stylish shirts for women!!! But yeah so glad we have Georges for the run of the series.

Kennedy is taking some time to grow on me, and even now I cringe slightly when she comes into a conversation or scene. I hope Willow comes back soon though... I think we all miss her (and Giles too). I hope Willow realizes soon that Kennedy *is* a Slayer. It makes little difference in my opinion where she is, whether near Buffy or away from her; Kennedy is in danger all the time simply because she *is* a Slayer. Sure, being around Buffy might make her more of a target but I don't know... I think mostly Willow's just projecting her loss of Tara onto Kennedy.
That's just my opinion... And I do admit I'm pretty bias when it comes to talking about Willow/Kennedy. I'm still bitter about Tara's death. :/

The book Buffy has on the beach says Lestat. It's apperently a vampire: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LestatAnd no, I have never read a single Anne Rice novel, so I don't know who he is. Big Anne Rice fan here and the book with Lestat on it was one of the first things I picked up on. Just a wonderful shout out to another great vampire in literature. I was wondering if anyone else picked up on it.
