I just finished reading The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger by Stephen King and Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill. I actually had no idea that Joe Hill was Stephen King's son. I love his comic series (Locke and Key), he's a very talented writer.
Any horror novel fans have to check out Heart-Shaped Box. Hill crafted some great characters and an awesome ghost story.

The Very Thought of You ~ Rosie Alison
England, 31st August 1939: the world is on the brink of war. As Hitler prepares to invade Poland, thousands of children are evacuated from London to escape the impending Blitz. Torn from her mother, eight-year-old Anna Sands is relocated with other children to a large Yorkshire estate which has been opened up to evacuees by Thomas and Elizabeth Ashton, an enigmatic childless couple. Soon Anna gets drawn into their unravelling relationship, seeing things that are not meant for her eyes and finding herself part-witness and part-accomplice to a love affair, with unforeseen consequences. A story of longing, loss and complicated loyalties, combining a sweeping narrative with subtle psychological observation, The Very Thought of You is not just a love story but a story about love.

Just got the latest Janet Evanovich book. Read it in less than five hours.
I loved it. I mean, I love the entire series, but as Sizzling Sixteen, it isn't quite so original as the first ten or so. I thought it was better than the fifteenth book though. Sometimes things get out of control, because writers feel the need to up the ante I guess, but a lot of the time I'm just pining away after the simpler times.

I'm right in the middle of Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs. Second in the Mercy Thompson series.
About 4-6 months ago I read the first book and fell in love with the characters. Mercy is such a refreshing heroine, I love that she has a regular job, along with strengths and weaknesses.

Just finished The Power of One (for the millionth time, it's my favourite book ever) and started Sense And Sensability. I love the movie but I've never read the book. It's enjoyable so far.

I just finished reading The Accidental Billionaires. Story about the founding of Facebook, and the basis for the upcoming film The Social Network. Fascinating stuff.

Reading an article in the International Political Sociology Journal entitled "'You Can't Charge Innocent People fpr Saving Thier Lives!': Work in Buffy the Vampire Slayer" by Matt Davies.
Its pretty interesting, if you're into scholarly journal readings . . . which I have to be in the mood to read or I am bored to tears at times.
JJ, pm me with more info about that book series. It sounds interesting.

JJ, pm me with more info about that book series. It sounds interesting. Just sent you a PM. I wrote a lot. I'm reading two books right now. One is Married by Morning by Lisa Kleypas, book 4 of the Hathaway Series. The other I just started last night and have only read the preface so far is The Sinking of the Titanic: The World's Greatest Sea Disaster. It's a book from 1912 obviously put out after the sinking, it was my great-grandparent's book and I cannot wait to read more.

Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis. I'm only one chapter into it right now, so hopefully it will be good. It was recommended to me by a friend, so we'll see. I love a lot of his other stuff, just hadn't heard of this one (or the other two in the series before).

Reading two books right now.
Tempt Me Tonight by Toni Blake, I cannot put this book down. It is so good. Plus Joe is so hot.
Also picked up Industrial Magic by Kelley Armstrong again. I started reading it about a year ago but I lost interest about a quarter into it. Right now I'm about half-way through the book and I hope to finish by Monday or Tuesday.

Currently re-reading Tomorrow, When The War Began in anticipation of the film being released. Just wanted to familiarise myself with the book again.
