REALLY?! lol well thats a pretty rash opinion but it's all good, thats what forums are for right? lol Either way I love Gwen, and in my opinion Jar Jar will always rule the throne of fugly and horrible and uselessness lol.

I'm all for it. Though I wasn't really in favour of Groo returning as soon as he was back I was all about it. I had forgotten how funny he was and that's definately needed with all the doom and gloom surrounding the gang. Gwen was interesting in that she was already a three dimensional character in just three episodes. I always wanted to see her back on the series. Nina was good on the show, but never really amounted to much beyond Angel's collegiate girlfriend, in After The Fall her character's definately going through some crazy changes and it works. In short I think all of the returns have worked so far because a) the characters were still alive and kicking last we saw them (as opposed to the ressurections going on in Season 8) and b) Lynch is doing interesting things with them.
I'm glad we haven't really had many back from the dead instances yet (Fred doesn't really count as we still don't know the score there, and Wesley doesn't count because....he's Wesley). I'd probably be a little more miffed if Cordy and Lindsey came back, their deaths were pretty final.

I love Gwen! I hated Nina, but now that she's in hell and she licks people, I love her too.

Overall it doesn't bug me, but they've got a huge cast to handle with a number of subplots--too many characters can spoil the soup, and I'm afraid the story will be spread too thin and told in too many tiny chunks. We'll see how it pans out tho.
Really not happy to see Groo--I think he might be one of the few characters in fiction I can really whip up some true and utter loathing for--but so far he's actually provided some amusing dialogue and not stolen too many scenes, so I haven't minded his return too much. Still, if I'd had fewer pages of Groo in the more recent issue and more pages of Angel, Spike, and Illyria kicking butt, I would have been happier. But nothing's perfect.

Now that I have seen how Groo is working in the story it's not so bad that he is back. I must say that Nina, if she is going to be in the story, needs to have more to do. The cast is just right tight now, but if they add to many more than we might end up like Buffy. Not seeing people for whole arcs at a time.
