I think Gunn is already useing the Hyperion in ATF.
Good, I'm not the only one who noticed this. Take a closer look at the scenes of Gunn in his base of operations. There's fire escape plans, numbers on doors. If I recall correctly, George asked at one point where they were and Gunn wouldn't say. I sincerely doubt that they'd have things like that and then have it be just some random place. Pretty certain the Hyperion is where Gunn's holed up.

Yep Gunn's definitely in a hotel. In AtF #2 there's a fire escape sign that says 'Hotel' on it. Makes sense that Gunn would go back to the Hyperion.
What's the deal with the symbol on the carpet under the bed where George is being held?
I have always assumed that it is to keep George from using his powers and over powering Gunn.
