An idea occurred to me tonight: What if, of all the vampires and demons to be banished from this dimension, Drusilla was the only one to find her way back, and became the lurks' version of "Patient Zero"? Maybe 10 or 15 years before "Fray", she returns to 'our' world, and begins siring vampires--err, I mean, lurks--who go on to sire others, who sire others, which eventually leads to Icarus, then Harth. It would be cool if there was a direct line of descent between Darla (and Angelus) and Harth...

That was what Georges Jeanty wrote in part of his letter to Slay Alive. It said "we'll meet up with some old friends. Vampires and otherwise". I'm guessing that's Drusilla since it kinda looks like her on the cover. Now the odds are even better that she's gonna be in it!

That would definitely explain why Drusilla was hanging out with Harth, if that is Dru. Excellent idea!

I might be insane, but I agree that that appears to be Drusilla. It's good to know she made it that long, but I'd hate to think that when Buffy gets back she might prevent Dru from being alive long enough to do these things.

Question is where did Willow get that information? And most importantly who gave it to her?

Or not? What if the origin of this information plays a rather important part and they wish to keep it a secret ?

All will probably be revealed in due time. Maybe the next issue, maybe not. But I think that it's too big a point to just forget about, so it'll have to be addressed in some form soon.

No, whta i mean twas what if they deliberately donnot reveal any info .Why? Because they may wish to develop it as an independent story of which we might finally find out about Willow's mystical path or any other secrets that she hides or even what was that demon lady in issue 10 .Thats just my humble opinion

Slightly off-topic, but aren't we due for a #18 cover by now?

Slightly off-topic, but aren't we due for a #18 cover by now? Not until June solicitations are released. I think it has just felt like a longer wait because we would have gotten the issue 17 covers in May, but they were released early during New York Comic Con.

The reasons why the others might not survive: Angel - Shanshu or the fact that he can't avoid a fight to save his life. Spike - Again can't avoid a fight to save his life. So there's more opportunity for him to be killed. Harmony - She's an idiot. Someone is going to get so annoyed by her that they'll have to stake her.

Umm...do the people behind the comics actually read them. In the original series it is said that the line still existed just that none of the slayers were sought out and trained. Fray was the first one in a couple hundred years that was "called" or trained...but there were still girls with the slayer power.
I would suspect that banishing the magic from the world would either mean that the spell performed by Willow was broken and all Slayers except Buffy and Faith lost their powers, or all the girls kept their powers but the spell stopped so future girls would stop being activated and eventually as the generation died away the Slayer line returned to a single girl in all the world...actually that may have happened anyway...we don't know if Willow's spell continues to activate potentials or if it only activated all potentials at the time of the spell and once they all die the line would return to a single line.
Edit: Here is the text quoted from Fray issue 3:
Urkon: They were gone. All demons, all magicks, banished from this earthly dimension.
Fray: And the Slayer? Did she...
Urkon: I do not know if she lived. But, the demons being gone, she was the last to be called. The line continued...there were girls with the power, but they were never called, never trained. Which may be why you have no memories of your heritage. The council of watchers fell to ruin, held together only by fanatics and fools. Those that believed the demons would return.

I always read it as Fray being the first Slayer in over 100 years to be 'called' as in gain her powers. The line continued on, but for whatever reason no one had been called until Fray. It is kinda iffy because Urkonn mentions that there were girls with the "power" but they were never called, never trained. It doesn't make sense that the WC would have gone insane from the wait for another Slayer if there were girls with the power running around. So hopefully they'll specify exactly what everything in Fray meant.

The WC didn't go insane, it was "held together only by fanatics and fools. Those that believed the demons would return." The WC wasn't waiting for another Slayer they were waiting for the demons to return so they could find and train the Slayer. Obviously most believed they were banished for good except for those "fanatics and fools." Who then found Fay...and lit himself on fire. So maybe there was a little insanity there.
