I think it will definitely be fantastic if we can revisit old times with the Scoobies with all the scary emotional angst happening in the main arcs now. we dunno if Buffy told Willow about what happened in the future. If she did, I am sure there'll be awkwardness that follows. If she din, she herself may behave weirdly towards Willow. Either way, I can see why harkening back to simpler times is damn attractive to her. I want more Scoobies interaction! Esp the core 4. Giles is sorely missed!

I'm quite looking forward to how this issue plays out. I can't wait to see how she handles certain things and just how much more 'joking' ('you're going to be a sorceress' 'maybe he'll be eaten by a giant snake') she'll do... I wasn't a big fan of the Cordelia attack. It may be because I loved Cordy, but dead or alive...future, present, or past..that's still a pretty low blow to make.

After reading the previews it brought a smile to my face -- it reminded me of the simpler times with Buffy; when it was just her, Willow, Xander and the humerous lines Giles used to say. I liked how Buffy interacted with her friends by saying stuff like "Hey, maybe he'll get eaten by a giant snake and you'll wear an eye patch and be in conrtol of hundreds of women" and things like that. What I think will happen in this issue: I think this issue is about Buffy recooperating after such a traumatic experience of the season 8 story arc "Time of Your Life". I'm hoping there is an explanation that all this is happening other than having a dream -- possibly it is a vision that in the end of it will help her in the longcoming; or possibly some sort of realisation of how hard she's making her life seem when she could make it as easier as it was in the first season of the show. What I want to Happen in the Issue: Two things I want this issue to be about: 1. In this issue, i think it would be so cool if she went through all of her life over again in this one-shot to try an change everything to make her present life a better place; finding a way to save Joyce, stopping Warren before he kills Tara, things like that and so at the end we see them in several pannels all happy and with the people they love. Then right at the end of it, on a full page panel, she wakes up with tears in her eyes (could be a two panel thing - her waking up - then her crying). Either way I think it would be a great character development for Buffy, to show us that no matter how strong she is, that no matter how good of a fighter she is, she's still only human. 2. I think another good thing for this issue to be about is the complete opposite to my first idea (this one including Jo Chen's cover art). I think that it should be about Buffy remembering a simpler time to when her and her friends were all alive and healthy. In the end of this issue, it should show buffy waking up with her two best friends beside her (Xander and Willow) watching the television. Willow's eating popcorn and Xanders cuddled around the television watching in as Buffy leans forward from the cushion or whatnot she's fallen asleep on as we show a panel of her normally, no expression on her face; then another panel of a smile growing; then another of her fully smiling; then ending with a full black panel. I know you may think I'm rambling and that the script and comic is already done, but this is what I wish it would be about and hope that some of my ideas would be in it. Tell me what you think about my idea, good, bad? I like your theories, especially the second one. I think it would be very good for Buffy to remember not only simpler times, but that Xander, Willow, and Giles have always been there for her. They have been her support system since Day 1 at Sunnydale. Maybe this realization will help ease the tension between Buffy and Willow's strained friendship (even more strained now since Buffy kills Future Darkish Willow) and Buffy and Gile's strained relationship. (Blech. I used "strained" 3 times in one sentence. Yuck. My apologies. Too lazy to fix it.)

To be honest, I really dreaded this idea when I first heard of it. But now that I read the preview I am TONS more excited for this. See, I didn't think it was going to follow inline with the story...just be like a whole "never before seen" episode.
I like.

Yeah im thinking Buffy knows about Cordelia, and i didnt find it that bitchy she was just stating the facts that on day Cordelia would be dead and Willow would be a super with. I was just thinking...Buffy did have a lot of snide comments toward Cordy around that time, so it doesn't seem out of character. I can almost hear SMG saying it. LOL

I don't know if anyone else here has said anything about this but Buffy could find Tara and Anya if she really wanted to see them again. That would be so cool!

Updated cover now on the DH website, and I've just noticed that it now reads 'Executive Producer Joss Whedon' rather than 'Joss Whedon's Season Eight'! www.darkhorse.com/Comics/Previews/15-328The DH website is also back to saying the 17th now. *sighs* I was super excited about new Buffy this week. Oh well.

Bummer. I was really looking forward to this! But it's only a week, not nearly as bad as the last wait!! So I'm not complaining whatsoever.

Kind of bummed we aren't getting this issue this week, but hopefully Angel: After the Fall issue #15 will be released next week as well and I can pick them both up at the same time (since I will be home for the Winter and my comic shop is further away).

Grrrr.....this is so annoying! The stupid company who supplies the comics to me (trapped on a stupid little rock thats stuck in the 70's), will not send me Issues 18 and 19 AND ATF 13 until Issue 20 is released! I'm beginning to go insane from lack of Buffy.....and cos I can't read this board properly for fear of getting spoiled! Someone should pay...and pay, and pay...there's just not enough pay!!!!

I'm not too disappointed in this delay. Not too surprised either. I'm still kind of getting over the Time of Your Life arc, still processing all the revelations.
Whoever noticed that Joss Whedon is now credited as Executive Producer instead of "Joss Whedon's Season Eight", I noticed this too, and I'm very pleased with this change. It's a much nicer title. I hope they stick with this change.

So when is it coming out?
I'm not too disappointed in the delay either. I was sort of shocked at how soon this one was coming out. Because I'm still getting over TOYL. This is the one time I wanted MORE time between issues.
