'Time Of Your Life' goes into the future and 'After These Messages...' explores the past. That's cool.

Wow, I just saw the variant art and think it looks pretty cool. I really wish the buffy animated series would come back.
I think it's funny that Dawn is there, considering she really wasn't in the series until season 5. Guess it makes sense with the whole keyness and altering perception/memory thing.
Can't wait for this issue.

Guys, remember this - Buffy #20 is going to be drawn by Georges and Mike Kunkel, artist of Herobear. Mike will draw the majority of the issue. I think you guys are hearing this first. According to Scott Allie, there was a last minute change where Mike Kunkel had to drop out of the project. This resulted in Eric Wight stepping in to work with Jeanty. The change was "very last minute".

I'm not sure if I'm happy that Dawn is in this issue or not. Sure, she's a great character, but I miss the time when no memory-spell were doing wonky things to the characters brains.

I was just looking at the variant and I toughed " If they do go into the past somehow it would be kinda cool to see their high school years with Dawn around". Maybe to see what the spell that made Dawn human changed for them.

I'm actually excited to see some Cordelia and Dawn exchanges. Since Dawn was "around" back then it would be cool to see how they were...I don't see them liking each other at all since Dawn wasn't too fond of Anya either. But I think Cordy would show more discontempt for the brat

Jo's cover is amazing as always. (Thank you for making Willow dress normal again!) The other cover is really cute. I'm excited for this issue!!!
Cannot wait to get some of my Animated Buff on!

I am very excited for this. I honestly LOVE the animated Buffy artwork and I think this variant is really well done. Of course, the Jo Chen cover destroys the variants every time but the variants can hold their own. So, Dawn is going to be in this issue? Is it confirmed?
I'm guessing Angel, Spike, and Cordelia will be there too, right?

I wouldn't hold my breath for Spike; he's not on the cover. And Spike didn't really play a big role back in S1, if that's when the animated series was supposed to take place in.

Do we know which season this issue is supposed to take place in, though? I've only heard it's set in Buffy's high school years.

Spike was not in Buffy's first season And strangely enough, I knew that. I was doing the understatement thing. But since we're being correct, Spike wasn't in S1. He was in S2. So, if the comics are meant to take place in S1 like the animated series, then no, there should be no Spike. But at any rate, considering his non-appearance on the variant cover, I'd say he's probably not making an appearance.

I know that Buffy: the Animated Series was meant to be set during the latter half of season 1. I'm not sure if Issue 20 will be taking it's cue from that, but it's my best guess as to when the issue will take place.

Plus the lack of Oz on the cover also suggests that it will probably take place in Season 1 or at the most early-Season 2.
