And also, based on the PORTION of the face we can see in the issue 17 variant cover, there are absoutely no veins.

Dark Willow as in just using dark magics (for a good purpose), or Dark Willow as in completely-evil Darth Rosenberg? I don't know if we've seen a good enough, close-up view of her in "Get It Done" or issue #3 to know if she's gotten the veins in those two brief moments of darkness. And either way, that could very well just be Jo Chen's interpretation of things (if she's not a big fan of the show, she may not be as anal about details like veins/no veins as we are).

It's Drusilla, no question. But the argument could be made that Dark Willow was pissed at willow or buffy and wanted to reverse the spell she did at the hellmouth. I don't know. And by the way, was what happened to Dawn in #16 the "other bizarre change" reffered to in the basic plot for 18? or is Dawn gonna turn into like Glory or something. Oh and also, Dawn's boyfriend that gigantified her could be twilight.

I'm still hoping that it's Harmony. Think about it: She always wanted to kill a slayer, she always sided with the powerful one (Harth), and she's the only person Buffy never saw as a threat. Plus, it would be a halarious reveal.

Just because she had veins doesn't mean its Darth Willow. Maybe the magic she is doing is testing her more. Doesn't mean she has gone all evil. Plus the spell Willow did in Get it Done Buffy was still in the same present. However Buffy is 200 years in the future so if Willow was doing the Get it Done spell again then heck it would mean she needed to use big power. I just dont see how it can be Dark Willow. Its all in the hair

I honestly don't know. It could be anyone. I mean, why would they make the character obviously someone ON THE COVER? I just don't get it.

I don't care who it is really, just as long as they make it into an awesome story.

Got a new name for the list of suspects...Catherine Maddison(Amy's mom)
1.she was a powerful enemy from Buffy's past 2.she was trapped in the cheerleading trophy.Perhaps she didn't age while trapped.
Yes,there are flaws in this, however,it's a new name anyway

Answer this,Which makes more sense logically, in terms of how well we know the characters?
Drusilla survives hundreds of years, and Harth & her bring back a vampire population to kill Buffy.
DARK!Willow somehow survives hundreds of years to raise a bunch of vampires with Fray's brother.
see?

Ooooo, nice point out that Willow gets the veins when she turns Dark and not when she does a spell. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'm super excited to see what happens in this arc. Answer this,Which makes more sense logically, in terms of how well we know the characters? Drusilla survives hundreds of years, and Harth & her bring back a vampire population to kill Buffy. Willow somehow survives hundreds of years to raise a bunch of vampires with Fray's brother. see? But DARK Willow somehow surviving hundreds of years (extreme magicks) to raise a bunch of vampires with Fray's brother to destroy the slayers makes more sense then good Willow.

I think that it is Dru. I mean unless Buffy REALLY pisses Willow off, then I see no reason why she would want to kill Slayers. Plus I don't think Dark Willow would be strong enough to, even with all her magicks, would be strong enough to survive all that time.

I think i could be Dark Willow. I mean if she gets to be immortal and watch the Slayers abuse the power she gave them, she could be tortured by guilt.. and then she could try to kill them all.

The preview from #17 today pretty much confirmed it was Dru.
SPOILER SPOILER (Highlight to read)
"The dark haired one. She lived for centuries. Speaks in riddles and strange voices" see that's pretty much our Dru.

I'm pretty sure Joss is still able to surprise us.

I agree. I think the more clues we get that make it seem like Dru, the more I feel it isn't her. True, she's still the most likely suspect, but Joss is Joss after all.

Part me doesn't understand how people are saying it still might not be Drusilla. We have the issue 17 cover, which IMO screams Dru. And we have the preview with a lurk exactly describing Drusilla, who else could it be? I don't think it's Joss "giving it away", just leading up to it. If I'm wrong though, I'm an idiot.

It all just seems a little to obvious to be Drusilla he always goes for the shock factor and judging by the poll Amy Madison would be the most shocking. I'm not saying that it is though, I think it would be cool having a witch in a world wwoth out magic, I know there are a lot of votes for Dark Willow but that could get complicated. I think it could be anyone from the characters listed on the poll and I can't wait for issue 17 so we can finally find out who it is.

So... Joss is trying to mislead us, make us all believe it's Dru, and then pull a switcheroo and hit us with Dark Willow? Sorta like he misled us with the cinammon lip-gloss into believing that Satsu was the one who kissed Buffy, right? But, of course, it actually turned out to be-- Satsu? Oh. So there was no mislead there? Never mind... I really don't think he's writing these issues with the main purpose of figuring out how he can trick us each month with the 5-7 page previews a couple of weeks before each issue comes out. The woman on the variant is wearing a Dru-ish dress. She has Dru's hair. The lurk's descrip, and the blurbs from the solicitations, all fit Dru much better than Dark Willow. And Jeanty drew the variant, and the shape of the woman's face doesn't even match the way he normally draws Willow. I'm not gonna say it's definitely, positively, 100% Drusilla (because I think the folly of that level of certainty has already been shown), but there's far more to support the idea of Dru now than there is Dark Willow. I've been saying it's Dru all along. Anyone who wants to still believe it's Dark Willow, I'll bet you a karma point. Any takers?
