I gave it a "great". I really liked it the more that I think about it.

I gave it a 'Great!' I was tempted to give it an 'Perfect! Amazing!', but I feel like there's always room for it to be better. Plus, I imagine that there are some amazing issues to come.

I gave it a great. Like Emmie, I would've given it a "Perfect! Amazing!" but I wasn't exactly clear on what FDW was trying to do, what her plan was.

Went with great. The editing felt a little choppy to me, as in the scene transitions weren't as smooth as I thought they could've been. But it worked well enough, and while some questions were answered, a bunch more were raised. Which makes sense, as this arc is roughly the equivalent of the midseason episode, where new information on the status quo is revealed; i.e. "Checkpoint" where we learn that Glory was a Hellgod.

"Okay."
Evil-ish Future Willow's agenda gave us lots of questions, but no real answers, and nothing much was accomplished by Buffy during her time in the future (other than killing EFW, which gets back to the previous thing about the lack of answers being provided).
But I'm willing to re-evaluate as the season moves along and things hopefully become more clear. Maybe my opinion of this issue (and this arc) will improve at that point...

I voted great. Not perfect but when is anything ever? Over all a very good issue. Nice art, good charatcers involved in a nice story and it had a fitting conclusion.

"Great" from me. While issue #16 was the best issue in the arc, this was a close second.

Okay. Felt it wasnt worth the wait, and as said above, looking back on this arc at the end of the season may make it so much more important and interesting. But right now, too many unanswered questions with not enough closure. And the wait wasnt worth the insides of it.

I just had to go with perfect! FDW raised so much more questions, I love her, the pain she feels just seems so powerful, and I was amazed by the fact that Willow trusts Saga so much that she would go blindfolded trough a portal because she said so. And Riley.. need I say more! Its great to establish that he is not Twilight and until he proves himself as a double agent I hate him ( and I'm not buying if he goes all " evil Slayer killed my wife" deal!!!). Also Xander & Dawn, not to much going on, but it was funny, and they are soooooo getting together soon

Craptacular. It was a long wait for.....nothing. I'm sorry, but it was really horrible. The only decent thing about the issue was the Riley revelation. There was no explanation about Willow or why exactly Buffy was in the future, it was like there was no point to the arc at all..

I have to agree with watcher ....
The conclusion to the Time of your Life story arc raised even more questions as to what the hell happened to Willow? I thought that they should've explained why she was evil or better yet the FRAY universe should have been erased otherwise it was all just going to happen again and again and again and again!
If I were to rate the Time of your Life story arc I would give it a 6/10 due to the fact that it was irrelevant to the story of Buffy season 8 and because of how confused I am right now.
Other than that, season 8 of buffy ROCKS!

I changed my vote to "Perfect! Amazing!!" After re-reading the entire arc last night, I love this issue even more than ever.

I'm concerned that the point of TOYL was, as a lot of people have mentioned, a bit lacking. However, I'm thinking that it'll become painfully clear later- we may not understand it now, but as the season progresses, maybe FDW's plan will make sense.

I went with good because after waiting so long for the issue it raised my hopes for it being a fantastic conclusion but when I read it I was kind of disapointed because like others have said there are some many questions to be answered. And I still don't get what FDW plan was really for.

I think ToYL was fantastic for that very reason. It *raised* questions and mysteries. That's what an episode around this point does. It reminds me of that moment at the end of Bring on The Night where Buffy gets beat down and gives her "we just became an army" speech (the only good speech she gives til her "choose to be strong" speech in Chosen).
#19 had an amazing fight scene between Melaka and Buffy. Future Willow's death leaves a mystery that's answer is implied. It sets the stage for the rest of the season - Buffy is going to save *her* world. Her race of slayers. Will she succeed? She's just shown us how determined she is in this arc, so we know it's going to be a battle.

Thanks for that, Emmie.
I was thinking, too, why did they NEED this arc? Was the point only to bring Fray back? But the more I think about it...the more this arc needed to be here. Yes, it brought up some really heavy questions that we'll soon get the answers for...but more importantly, it brought up Buffy's will to save her race of slayers. We thought this whole season would eventually lead up to the Slayer's vanishing, much like they do in Fray. But this SHOWED Buffy what was coming so she is going to try everything in her power to prevent the events she has seen in this arc.
I'm going to go re-read the arc now.

loved it, but one thing i didn't like:
that guy, that Buffy was all dressed up for was revealed. was it Riley? or was it some other guy? the drawings aren't clear enough by this artist! at the big Dark Willow reveal, i still thought it might have been Dru...

The only thing I didn't like was that Darth Willow didn't put up much of a fight. I know most of her powers were gone, but still. At the end, when she blocks Buffy from entering the portal and she goes all wacko jacko, she instantly gets shanked by Buffy. That really disappointed me. And Kennedy! That jezebel ruined the Buffy/Willow moment at the end. Grrr...

That jezebel ruined the Buffy/Willow moment at the end. Grrr... that's because she brought Buffy into the future to kill her...or at least that's what i got from it. that why she was saying it's not about who dies, it's who kills them. she wanted to be killed by her best friend, which is why she insisted on Fray capturing her. and at the end when Bugffy said 'i'll go through you' and Willow said 'you know you'll have to'. because she wanted to die and she wanted Buffy to do it. but seriously, was that guy Buffy was meeting with Riley!? i can't figure it out!
