Well I guess I'm eating my words.
I was just saying the other day that Heroes was un fixable, with the mess and plots and weird contunity that they've set up in the previous seasons but the premiere of Heroes "Fugitives" has given me the slightest bit of hope back. Bare with me I do tend to post huge posts regarding Heroes read on if you wish, beware of
SPOILERS though from seasons one - three and the premiere episodes of season four. Okay here we go...
Was the episode perfect? No but it was very good a big step up from season two and three the main reason being is that this actually made sense. We know that Nathan, Bennet and a team of other agents are rounding up the people with abilities which by the way the scene where they were all being brought in at the airport in the orange suits was a very chilling scene. Excellant, Hopefully this is the dark season of Heroes I've been waiting for.
Though having said all of this the first episode of Heroes is usually good, it's round up the middle where it all caves in, it's as if they're not sure how to naturally progress the story and charatcers so they force it and push plots in all directions until they kind of get a conclusion.
Questions:1) Why is Nathan rounding them up, does he really believe all of them are a danger? He has a power will his own team turn on him some way down the line?
2) Where was the plane at the end going?
3) What is up with Peter's powers, he has strength, then he doesn't now he can freeze things. I know he can absorb peoples powers but did I see him lose his strength that guard took him out pretty easily and quickly. Has he lost his strenght or did I pick up on this wrong, Anyone??
4) Some of the stuff Nathan is doing is pretty ruthless is he actually in charge of this operation ir is there someone sitting behind the scenes pulling Nathan's strings. If so who?
5) Did Sylar's watch kind of a dad give him up to Nathan's team? Who is his real dad?
To be honest I'd like to see Sylar taken down in a nice bloody fight between Nathan's team and Sylar, maybe Peter too. IMO Sylar has gotten too powerful to be taken down by one person. It would be awesome, give Peter the final hit that kills him but he needs a bit of help.
6) Not really got a comment on the Ando thing. I'll give it time to go somewhere first, so far it's okay. Also if Hiro has lost his power why did the operatives' want him anyway. Why not Ando, do they even know he has a weird charger power? Maybe they wnated Hiro because he used to have a power or just becuase of what he knows and has seen?
7) Why is Noah helping Nathan? Blackmail, maybe he agress with what he's doing or is he doing it to protect Claire (shock). That one makes the most sense and after all Nathan and Noah are both Claire's dad so they will still have her best interest at heart no matter how much they seem to stray from her at times.
When the plane was going down at the end I soooo wanted Claire to go tumbling out we know she won't die but still it would be cool to see her just hit the ground and then 'skwidge' herself back together. I DID NOT want Peter to fall, I was actually scared for a minute and then it went to, "to be continued" which we obvioulsy know that means Peter lives. My guess is that Peter will fly again and go all superman and grab the plane...something like that either that or the plane does crash and this is the shows quick way of killing off a few un-needed charatcers
*cough* Tracey.
Three other points to make then that'll do me for today.
Claire stop moaning, don't become the Dawn Summers of Heroes, she has so much more potential...use it! Get rid of Tracey. Don't give Sylar's quest for his family tree take up to much time this season. I don't actually think that season 1 of heroes can be beaten but they should at least be able to match it or get near it and so far neither seasons 2 or 3 has came close.
I hope Heroes does not continue dipping into Prison Break-esque plots/arcs. Season 1 & 2 pretty unique. However season 3 had the whole take down the company thing (pineheirst) sort of like Prison Break season 4 and now in Heroes 'Fugitives' they have went with the Heroes hunted and on the run sort of like Prison Break season 2. Steer clear as most of us know PB is now canceled only a few episodes left and I don't want this to happen to Heroes.
Over all a very nice start to"Fugitives". It has a lot of potential. Is this season 4 though or season 3 part 2, it was never made that clear. How mny episodes of this arc are there?
Done for now. lol
