lol... about the Law and Order screen. All it's lacking is a pic of the Vampy Cat to complete the rogues gallery.

Simone and her gang are going to attack Rome? Well, they already attacked some part of Italy. Not inconceivable that they hit Rome at some point.

Well, they already attacked some part of Italy. Not inconceivable that they hit Rome at some point. But... they're 16 girls with guns. And the fact that they're using guns renders pointless almost all of the strength and agility benefits they get from being Slayers... are they able to attack through Italy with impunity because they have the strength to pull the trigger harder? If this is true, then I'm sure the Simone Show is all being staged by Twilight and the Italian government. If not, then the plausibility level of season 8 is jumping the shark hard.

We finally get the cover! Yay! I wish we had a bigger version of it, but I'm still very happy to see it clearer now. Funny about the Law & Order screen. But really, how can we be surprised? You can't turn on the TV without coming across an episode of it.

Super-powered girls with guns. How is that not an advantage? And 16 was just the number in the opera house. Remember that the number we started with was much smaller. And a few of the girls were unidentifiable because they weren't part of the Slayer Army at first. Fear is a very potent rallying flag. Slayers all over are being persecuted, some of the undetected girls could very well have joined Simone's gang. And it may not be the siege you're imagining. Just girls acting like terrorists, blowing things up, would be enough to land them on CNN.

Maybe Scott will finally give the go ahead for Phil to put out the hi-res cover. No reason not to, at this point.

I'm still wondering why the Italian government took no interest in Simone's takeover of one of their towns, and why Buffy seems to think this was a problem that could wait for some unspecified future date to deal with. But, I trust all of this will be explained in due time. That's the #1 problem with doing this story in comic form... too long between episodes to stew over stuff that doesn't make any sense yet. Must trust Joss. Must trust Joss. Must trust the Joss.

Looks much better in high quality. It's possibly Jo Chen's best Buffy likeness yet. The only thing I don't like about it is Law & Order, pretty lame. I guess it fits well with the story, but come on!

Maybe there's going to be an episode of Law & Order in which Slayers are the bad guys? (In the comic, I mean, not a real episode).

That's a great idea! I'd love to see that, it'd be hilarious.

The cover www.darkhorse.com/Features/Artist-Gallery/1000/Jo-ChenAnd yep, it says Law & Order ... The show will be ruined for me if slayers are the bad guys in it. Anyone else thinks that looks... not like Buffy? True, I haven't seen Buffy from that angle before, but still.

Not my favorite TPB cover. A little less...epic than I would have liked. It's nice to see the clear cover, though.

Making out what I can from the size of the picture and based on the visage of the face it looks like that the female on the Law and Order screen is a vampire....

An entry for this TPB has popped up on Canada's Amazon site, claiming a ship date of Sep 15 (or in the world of comic stores, Wed the 16th). www.amazon.ca/Buffy-Vampire-Slayer-Season-Predator/dp/1595823425/The summary is copied below, but I'm putting spoiler tags on it since the references for issues #24-25 have some different details that people may not want to know: Buffy's world goes awry when former-classmate-turned-vampire Harmony Kendall lands her own reality TV show, "Harmony Bites," bolstering bloodsucking fiends in the mainstream. Humans line up to have their blood consumed, and Slayers, through a series of missteps, misfortunes, and anti-Slayer propaganda driven by the mysterious Twilight, are forced into hiding. In Germany, Faith and Giles discover a town where Slayers retreat from a world that has turned against them, only to find themselves in the arms of something far worse. A rogue-Slayer faction displaces an entire Italian village, living up to their tarnished reputation as power-hungry thieves. And finally, with the help of a would-be demon lover, Dawn addresses her unfaltering insecurities.

Thanks for posting that. And good call about the spoiler tags, just in case. You could possibly post the excerpt over at the #24 and #25 threads too, since the most spoiler-ific bits pertain to them.
