Buffy and Angel Their relationship is all about fellowship. I like Spike with Buffy but more like a friend.

Spuffy all the way! Bangel was way too dramatic, while Spuffy is just fun.

I'm in the very small minority that actually liked her with both Angel and Spike, but I definitely prefer Spuffy. Her relationship with Angel, though very sweet and romantic at times, was way too melodramatic and teenager-ish for my taste. Her relationship with Spike was more mature and realistic. Plus, it always really bugged me that she and Angel seemed to fall in love within a few episodes of meeting each other, even though they didn't really admit it until season 2.

Buffy & Angel for me,
Partly because it is the first ship that stole my heart but also because I like almost every relation with Angel involved. Only the Cordelia/Angel relation in season 3 felt too forced, but I love them in season 5 and ATF. So in the end, I like every relation where Angel is involved. And this one happens to be my favourite.
And okay, I'm a sucker for the true love forever/Romeo and Juliet romances.

Buffy and Angel! He at least didn't try to rape her No, he only tortured her surrogate father, killed her teacher, and tried to kill her and her friends after weeks of mental harrassment. Hey, if we're equating soulless Spike with souled Spike, might as well equate Angelus with Angel. ;D

Buffy and Angel! He at least didn't try to rape her IMO, Angel has done FAR worse and damaging things to Buffy in his time. Angel is always more about the emotional pain than I think Spike at his most evil, could ever hope to be. Honestly, I believe that most of the bad things Spike may have ever done or said were only out of desperately wanting Buffy. Angelus I should say, just plain wanted to hurt her. Even Angel leaving Sunnydale in Season 3 was very traumatic for Buffy! Their whole relationship reminds me of the "life or death" type of love. Where everything was always so full of drama. I'm a sucker for the true love forever/Romeo and Juliet romances. I agree, which is why I like Buffy and Angel. I like Buffy and Spike too, but the two ships are very different from one another.

Okay, Spike's speech in Touched was sooo sweet, but I don't like (HATE) Buffy and Spike together. I'm not really a Bangel fan either, but I think I'll go with Bangel

BUFFY: "I love You" SPIKE: "No you don't, but thanks for saying it" That sums up their relationship in those few words. I believe that Spike did truley love Buffy but I don't think she ever could. Not properly like she did with Angel which is why I chose Bangel. Yep, that exactly sums it up for me as well. I have to go with Buffy and Angel, though Spike's speech in season 7 is near perfection, Buffy could never really go there with him.

i'm gonna say Buffy/Spike, even though i don't think they could ever be in a real relationship like Buffy/Angel were
i got tired of the whole Bangel thing after Becoming, Season 3 was back to the same old whining

...There is no "both" option.
Instead of picking between the two (in my mind) equal relationships, I'll just say my answer is VERONICA AND LOGAN.

YES! ♥ LoVe ♥!...and I'd also like to pick both since I've shared an equal obsession/enjoyement of both 'ships in the past, present and (I'm sure) future.

Buffy/Angel where cute together, but i loved Buffy/Spike. I think Angel/Cordy go better together.

Agreed.
I never really liked Spuffy, I could appreciate them on some levels in S7, but the whole sexual thing never got me hooked. I think a true relationship can't be based purely on sex, after all, when the passion's over... what's left?
Spike loved Buffy, and she cared for him deeply. He'll always have this special place in her heart. But real love? I think she only had with Angel.

I think a true relationship can't be based purely on sex, after all, when the passion's over... what's left? Buffy told Spike the same thing in Seeing Red, actually, and she obviously won that debate (by whatever means), since Spike left to seek his soul in the same episode. Their dynamic in Season 7 was a direct response to their dynamic in Season 6: all about trust and companionship and affection, and not at all about sex.

Yeah, it was. But they weren't a real couple in S7 now were they? They acted more like friends, not lovers.

Y'think? Joss said their relationship was romantic, even if it wasn't physical. (Too soon after the bathroom incident.)
