Oh God, I'm more anti-bangel than I am anti-spuffy. I didn't notice the change until now.
I've started to really dislike Angel, but still considered myself a Bangel-fan. Now that's kinda gone tough.
Are we talking pre-soul Spuffy or post-soul? Because I hated what they did to each other in season 6(I thought it was cute/amusing in season 5) but I think they should have gone on a date or two post-soul.

I agree with you about how Buffy and Spike should have gone on a date sometime after the soul. I just don't think Buffy and Spike had a chance at being a real couple.

I'm very pro-Spuffy, but not totally anti-Bangel. I am, however, pretty pro-Cangel.

Buffy and Angel all the way. I understand it wasn't as 'passionate' as B/S but the only reason for that was the happiness clause (aka. the clause that makes no sense). Simple as that. B/A would have developed a real adult relationship over time.
The whole B/S thing turned me off from the show for a long time. It was disgusting to me as woman to watch. Obsessive, degrading, disturbing and unhealthy. And I could never support a relationship that was all about that or born out of it, no matter how much the characters involved changed.
I like B/S when they fight side by side. I might even like them as confidants because they can connect on that 'Slayer' level because her friends never will understand.
