I'm reading. But I don't have anything constructive to say, just "OMG, so awesome" "Great!" " " and I dislike writing too many comments like that...

Aw, but it's nice getting those. It's nice to hear you're enjoying the story, otherwise I'm left wondering "wow, maybe it sucked!" More thoughts on feedback that are kinda OT: I think it's the same for any creative effort--feedback fuels the muse. I was thinking about this actually and how it's not like an expectation that everyone drop in and leave some kind of note because obviously people lurk and don't post but still read, right? But it's nice when it's friends leaving a note (feedback is like "Hey, Em, I enjoyed those fanfic brownies you baked for me! Yum."). It's just encouraging. Keeps me going, I suppose.
Nobody should feel obligated, that's not what I'm saying. It's just that I really appreciate it even if it's only a smiley face or hitting the "like it" button. [Or constructive criticism or if one notices typos, even.] I like feeling a connection with the people reading in the way I like having someone reply to a post I make in discussion forums. It's about conversation. And sometimes people's replies actually help shape the story in the same way that fans sometimes shape BtVS even. That's the wonder of the dialogue between author and audience.
It's why I was giving out karma for feedback in the SA Scribes challenges. Because I think in a community like ours, giving feedback is what we do. We say "love that banner!" or "great post!" or "amazing custom!" because you can see how much time and care was put into it, you know. And this forum is about us communicating so when a post goes without a response, well I know there are some people who feel like it wasn't appreciated or maybe that people didn't like it or even notice.
I'm going so randomly in-depth on this, but I've noticed that most writers seem to be very good at giving other writers feedback. I wonder if that's because another writer knows how much value it holds.

Mass PMs were fine, I just had to find a window of time to read it.
Another great chapter, although I kinda felt off reading the last bit with Faith. Couldn't put my finger on it, but it felt a little out of character. Otherwise, wowzers once again.

Hey Cam- Do you think you could think about what you mean by out of character and get back to me? (By PM if you want...) I'm kinda missing the essential "constructive" in your concrit there. It could simply be that we view Faith's character differently or simply that considering the scene is ambiguous about what they're doing, the context of it matters is weighing in my mind and shaping the characters actions in ways you're not able to anticipate yet. Or it could simply be a word choice. There's way too many possibilities there. ' That's something I run into a lot with my beta, but when challenging the concept/characterization/what-have-you, being specific is really key. Thanks for thinking about it, though!

Yeah, I think it might be the ambiguity of the scene more. A second read of the scene reads like "whoamg something's gonna happen" and from that angle it made more sense what she was saying. I didn't think it would necessarily be something you did to Faith - you write her so well!

Absolutely! Except now that I've re-read it I'm really intrigued. Also, have you worked out how you're going to write in Twilight's identity? You seemed pretty excited about putting the one (identity) with the other (TYSK). It makes me excited too.

Oh yeah, I have so many plans mwahaha! I've been thinking a lot about Season 8 and had this huge realization today actually that I wanted to post about in the forums, but decided to keep in my pocket for TYSK. But I think it's quite a nifty theory for Buffy and Season 8...

Awesome last couple of updates Emmie, The Scene with Buffy in the battlefield amongst the rotting corpses of her friends was very epic and reminded me alot of After the Fall's version of Angel's future(now after Twilightgate, makes so much more sense). The portion where she bursts into flamesbrought back images from Nightmares, makes me wonder if Buff is trully over her fear of becoming a Vamp. I also think it would be cool if we could see some intereaction between Andrew and Spike because I always loved their chemistry together. Also could we see some possible XanDawn interaction going on? Or if Oz will make an appearance in TYSK? Can't wait to see how you work in the reveal...Keep it comming Oh and btw...

Thanks so much, phaeton! I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed the last few updates and that the dream sequence was so memorable. I'll definitely keep in mind what you mentioned about Spike & Andrew. Are you thinking XanDawn couple-y action or friendship?
But again, thank you!

Are you thinking XanDawn couple-y action or friendship? But again, thank you! Well Idk, depends on how much of S8's Storyline elements you were planning on bringing in...I think it would make a pretty cool element before as the love triangle really hasn't been developed in the Jossverse(Other than Angel, Cordy and Gru) but esp with Buffy's central characters. So In this case you could actually have it where seeing Dawnie with Xander triggers some feelings that she didn't know she had, as well as her lingering one for Spike. That could tie us over untill we see what happens with the Reveal in the next two months or so...

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let y'all know that I've been working on the story, but in more of a backwards way since I'm writing the ending currently.
I know it sucks and that I haven't updated in a while, but I haven't stopped writing the story.
