Anyone planning on attending??? There isn't a date set yet. (AUGUST 23RD!) But I loved it last year. It's usually at: Dave & Buster's Gold Coast - Showroom 1030 N. Clark Street (Clark at Oak) Chicago, IllinoisI should definitely be there. And I will be handing out SlayAlive ads again. Hopefully there will be a new one up by August or July, whenever this one is this year. And hopefully Alyrenee isn't sick 7 months from now. That'd be VERY bad. For her. Cause 8 months of illness just doesn't sound fun. So, I'll stop my randomness. Who's going? More info at www.slayathon.org

There are Buffy-cons that run I think, but this isnt a con. Its a charity event for fans. They try to keep the stars away, because it would distract from the purpose of the event.

What kind of donations are you looking for? I'm new to this and wondered if it was money or collectibles. Please would someone answer my question.

Where should donations be sent? Or do we simply list what we are willing to donate and then ship it to the person after the event? Please let me know how the donation process works.

Items are bid on AT the event, so they need to be shipped before-hand. There doesn't appear to be a shipping address on their site, so I would ask someone who's going to allow them to ship the donations to them and they could turn them in when they get there, or send an email to Kelly Creamer at slayathon@yahoo.com

Nope, sorry. Last year it was the first Saturday in August, but that will probably change.

We should see about getting a full set of the SlayAlive/TST/BCC comic covers and have the person who won sign theirs, and send to the SlayAthon for an auction. It might not bring much but it'd be exciting!!
I plan on trying my damndest to actually make one of these!

Sagewoman was wanting her own set of winner-signed covers, and the winner for Issue 4 has just disappeared, so it'd be pretty difficult. There will however be the TST/SlayAlive/BCC Issue 3 cover signed by Joss auctioned off.
If you are under a certain age, you must be accompanied by an adult. That and no alcohol will be sold to minors, as possibly guessed.

I'd be a lot more comfortable discussing the event if there was a known date for it. It worries me that it could be called off.
