I did think it was a bit odd that Joss and the other writers worked so hard to intergrate Tara into the group. Even in season six, they made an effort for Tara to get closer to Buffy and Dawn ( "Good GOD that's a lot of shake...")
Anyway, I'm in this awesome group. Whoooo!
As much of a Twillow shipper as I am, I really love Oz's character. I heart all of Willow's love interests Xander, Oz, Tara... minus someone who starts with "K". However, since a lot of people appear to be Kennedy haters, to her defense, I'm kind of liking her in Season Eight comics.

Willow and Tara were the best couple in the Buffyverse.

They were the best couple on the show. I don't get why Joss would do all that work to show us that they were soul mates and then just kill Tara off. I know I know Willow had to go into deep dark. So what!!! She could have just fallen into a coma ( natural state magic still can't meddle like they could not cure Joyce ), and Willow could still go dark, and we could still see Tara... I never got that either. I always thought killing off Tara was a mistake... Best wishes, Scott

I miss Tara so much...I was just watching some S6 yesterday and she was integrated so well into the group, I just can't believe that Joss killed her off. I know he never wants anyone to be happy at all, but having maybe one teeny tiny couple be happy would be nice, right? I liked Will/Oz together for their time being, good to get Willow into a relationship bla bla bla but I was so happy when Tara came onto the show. Plus Amber Benson was awesome and I wanted to see her more. I also wish there was a way to bring Tara back in S8 without it being too cheesy or out of place. Oy. Essentially, I could try and make you a Willow/Tara banner if you'd like? I know if you just search online too you'd prob have some luck.

Greer,
Really? That would be great if you could make me a banner whenever you get the time. I searched online, but I must be looking in all the wrong places because I can't find any. Your banner is so sweet looking.
I'd love a Willow and Tara banner. I don't mind what goes on it as long it's happy moments of their relationship/love and nothing to do with Tara's death. Lol.

so in this club! my favoritest, favoritest ship ever!! i've been watching season 7 lately, and i just want to stab Kennedy in the jaw. W/T is the absolute sweetest relationship ever in the Buffyverse, or possibly the Whedonverse. we should get banners or userbars to say we're in the Willow/Tara club! by the way, here's a link to some INCREDIBLE wallpapers. i didn't make any of them www.liminal-bliss.com/toyou/media.html

I'm probably one of the only people in the fandom who doesn't unconditionally love Willow/Tara. It's okay, it's sweet... But eh. I can't really love the pairing when i feel so "Meh' toward Tara. I also have big issues with Tara getting back together with Willow... I ref these two journal entries to explain why. gabrielleabelle.livejournal.com/67234.htmlalexeia-drae.livejournal.com/1134.htmlIt wasn't just the magic... the magic was the tool Willow used to try and control her world, and the tendencies that caused her to abuse her magic in the first place never got addressed. That said, a lesbian couple on TV made me happy.

That said, a lesbian couple on TV made me happy. *reads both articles* those are some pretty good points and i agree with the whole abuse thing, but i disagree when those people say Willow felt no remorse for what she did. At the end of Smashed when she breaks down and says she ''Screwed everything up. Tara, everything." I think it's pretty clear that Willow felt horrible for what she did. Buffy thought Willow was only talking about hurting Dawn, but i think mostly on Willow's mind was Tara, particularly when you compare her breakdown in Killer In Me to the one in Smashed and see how similar they are. And we have no proof that Willow never apologized to Tara. Once they became friends, Willow may well have said something to make it better. If not, then i'm sure Willow was planning to, but then there was the whole Tara getting shot thing, that didn't really give that storyline a chance to pan out. But that's just my opinion. There's probably a lot of people who won't share it.

*shakes head*
It just seems like the underlying control issues that caused her to abuse magic in the first place never got addressed. To me, it looked like Willow wasn't so much sorry that she'd violated Tara's mind- twice- as sorry she got caught. I mean, imagine that it was an abusive relationship with a normal addiction, like alcohol. Maybe she only hits when she's drunk, but the control issues are still there post-Alcoholics anonymous.
I truly love Willow, but I feel like she's even more of a mess than anyone realizes in S6.

First of all, I am so totally in the ship! Every day, I find new amazing things on this board, and it makes me all greedy to spend more time here.
I find the discussion on Willow, her abuse of magic and its impact on the T/W relationship extremely interesting, with many valid points. Now I am unable to form a coherent argument, I just want to formulate a few points.
I am one of the seemingly few who liked the addiction-storyline. Of course, magic was a tool of control for Willow, but also a tool that got out of control, because it was too tempting to use it. Magic, like alcohol, had the power of rendering everything ok, if only for awhile. And in Wrecked, this was turned into a way of getting high. I found Willow floating on the ceiling awsome and incredibly sexy (though i find that hard to admit).
That the two of them got together after Willow's abuse of Tara ... I admit that their reunion made me too happy that I would have questioned it. I really have to think about that a bit more. So thanks for all that food for thought!
