Lost (season 5) is coming back soon and I can't wait, such a good show.. anyone have any spoilers abut season 5 and 6? All I know is that Claire is is alive but not coming back for season 5 (unknown if she will be in any season 5 eps) but will be a full member again in season 6 I wonder who is going to die in season 5-6 we all know that someone will always die... I am betting on Sayid Jarrah- some how sacrificing him self is the final season. Hurley- dieing sometime in season 5. John Locke- would like to know how he died lol... Jin- if he is still alive I would like him to die at the end of season 5. Charles Widmore- shot and killed my sun in season 6:) Ben- killed by jack I really like Penelope Widmore but I think that Ben might kill her and I also think that Charlotte, Desmond and Kate might also die . but I hope not because I like them.

I can't wait to see how it will go on. Already had a sneek-peak on the first episode and I already very much like the direction the show is going in. Concerning the "Dying"-Topic: I'm fine with most of the characters being offed one way or the other. I just want those to survive till the end of the series: - Jack (I hated him during first and second season, but he really grew onto me) - Kate - Sawyer - Desmond (By far my most favorite character on Lost) If the writers leave those four persons alive, I am happy. And by the way, we already learned that death isn't always the end on Lost.

I like Lost a lot, but I'm getting nervous about the writers' ability to wrap this story up in the remaining 32 episodes. The show has meandered about so much. It's not the show I thought I was watching a few years ago; which may not be a bad thing but I doubt I would have given it a shot if I knew it was set to get so weird. I look forward to seeing more though. The extended wait is just evil lol.
I honestly don't care who lives or dies anymore. This was never really a show about its characters.

I don't agree. I think because there is also a great storyline with characters that the show doens't get borring. I love the mistery in Lost but we have the wait to long for the answers. Very important characters for me are; Sawyer, Juliet, Kate, Desmond, Penny, Sayid & Claire. I really hope they will survive. How did you know about the Claire spoiler? I've heard that she would come back in season 6 but not yet that she will be alive. She could come back as a ghost. Or do you have other info then me?

I don't ever recall hearing that Claire will be alive when she returns for series 6.

Oh, wow do I disagree. Lost, in my opinion, is the most character driven show on television. With a plot as spread out as Lost's, it has to be.

I read somewere that she is not dead... it talks a bit about it here... ----------------------- One of the big questions everyone’s talking about right now is “Is Claire Dead?” Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse give us some scoop, although certainly no answers… “I think we want the fans to ask, “‘What’s happened to Claire?’” Cuse says. “I don’t think it’s ‘Is she dead?’ I think it’s like, ‘Where is she?’ and, ‘What’s going on with her?’” Lindelof continues… “What’s fascinating with Lost is there’s a scene where Claire is in the cabin, and she is sitting next to a guy who is dead, and nobody is saying ‘What’s up with that?’ They’re all asking ‘Is she dead?’ I think the more operative question is ‘What is dead?’ That’s a good question to ask, and one you will certainly be asking over the long hiatus.” www.approachinglost.com/2008/05/12/lost-is-claire-dead/I love this promo au.youtube.com/watch?v=mX7md0HoR8EI hope Sawyer and Juliet start start somthing...

Yeah well I hope she will be alive. She was one of my favorites :moody:
I don't like the idea of Juliet and Sawyer. Even though I love both characters for James there is only one woman and that's Kate. But we still don't with who she is gonna the end up with: Sawyer or Jack. This triangle in Lost is so :upset:

Oh, wow do I disagree. Lost, in my opinion, is the most character driven show on television. With a plot as spread out as Lost's, it has to be. I used to care about the characters, a lot; but now I don't. They got too uneven, uninterestingly spread out, and when the writers sold out fully developed seasons for shorter ones I pretty much gave up on that, and waited for the plot to finish. The flashbacks were the primary source for fleshing out characters, and that appears to be done with too. All the characters do on the island is make stupid decisions and not ask enough questions lol. To its credit, Lost is a show that hints with increasing bluntness that its characters are merely pawns (of the island's will or a greater purpose or something), so at least they're honest.

So, is anybody actually watching? I hope so, because I think this season has been the best one since S1 (S3 was the lowpoint). And I've never cared about the 'shippy stuff (whether Kate should be with Sawyer or Jack, etc.), but when the girl he loves is living 30 years in the future, you can't really blame Sawyer for moving on--it's hard to get more 'over' than that!

I am!
I absolutely love what has happened so far this season, and I agree that this is easily the strongest season since season 1. My ranking in terms of each season would be as follows:
1 > 5 > 4 > 3 > 2, but I love every season, for a number of different reasons.

I'm getting so tired with Lost. The whole island moving in time thing and now they're in the 70s. It's not interesting IMO. Nothing exciting has happened recently either.

1 > 5 > 4 > 3 > 2, but I love every season, for a number of different reasons. I guess 2 and 3 are pretty interchangeable down at the bottom end of the spectrum, but 2 has Mr. Eko, who's right up there with Hurley as my favorite character on the show. And 3 spends so much time on the Others--especially Juliet, who I still don't like--that it was the toughest to sit thru for me. I only just recently realized that I'd never listened to the DVD commentaries for S3 and 4, so I went back and did that, and one of the things that stood out was the producers mentioning that when it comes to time-travel on "Lost", there can be no paradoxes. You can't go back and change things, and if you try, the universe will just course-correct and make sure that the event still happens, even if it's in a slightly different way (as shown with Desmond trying to prevent Charlie's death). So I wonder how they're going to reconcile that with Sayid shooting Ben?

Ben won't die. Simple.
I'm quite liking this season. Better than last season definately. This time travel stuff runs the risk of trampling all over earlier stuff though, which is worrying. Danielle apparently not recognising Jin in season 1 for one thing. It's a bit of a stretch.

Guess I had more faith in Sayid's aim. Plus, the kid reacted like someone who'd been killed instantly--certainly more so than Renee after getting stabbed by Toru, yet so many took it as a given that she was definitely dead. Gotta love the irony that Jack wouldn't save Ben, and because of that Kate and Sawyer had to take action that directly led to Ben becoming the guy that Jack despised and wasn't willing to save.

i believe it was just announced that Lost is ending in 2010 That's actually been known for some time now, before Season 4 started in fact. People were getting worried that the writers were starting to stall (which is evident with some Season 2 and Season 3 episodes), because they weren't sure when the show would end. So everyone sat down and planned out the rest of the show and decided that it would need 3 more seasons of 16 episodes each to finish up. Because of the strike, Season 4 only had 14 episodes, so Season 5 and 6 will each have 17 episodes so that Lost will finish on-schedule with 117 episodes total.

Things are definately starting to feel like they're coming together this season. I wasn't sure the writers were ever going to get to ending this lol How wierd is going to be watching the Lost finale? I can't imagine.
