I´m afraid that Juliet won´t stick around too long, cause she´s one of my favourites as well.
I´ve heard on spoilertv.blogspot.com that she would stick around for only two episodes (due to her commitment to V)
Probably she will be mortally wounded and die in the first two hours.
As with Locke, I´m with you henzINNIT: I was never a huge fan of the character and his morals, but having him only to be a tool is really unworthy to a character with such a long storyline.

Yeah, me too. But I don´t believe, that Team Darlton would be that kind to us.

I recently bought and watched the first 4 seasons of Lost and it was freaking awesome. I can't wait for season 6 to comeback. Just had to tell someone that.

I almost envy how little you've had to wait for Lost-y goodness lol, but I've got to love the show for longer so it balances out.
Season 6 promises to be a brilliant wrap to a brilliant show, or the single most disappointing TV event ever. No pressure.
Thorn, maybe you could take the "Season 5" off the title and make this a more general Lost thread?

I just started rewatching the series and am on the second half of Season 2. I use to love the show but tuned out sometime in Season 2, but I started watching again with Season 5 and loved it, so I'm hoping to catch up on everything I missed before Season 6 starts.

I can't watch Lost anymore. I kept watching at first because I was like " there have to be some answers sometime... I mean... eventually... right? Come on... where are the answers!" One youtube comedian totally summed up peoples fascination with lost for me " We all keep watching Lost because we are totally convinced that if we do, they will eventually tell us the meaning of life."

That's heaps funny! "meaning of life" bahahaha. I still love the show (probably because I have super staying power and don't give up on things pretty much ever ), I feel like they've given me a lot of the answers I needed already - although with each new answer there is 2 new questions! I feel that knowing it is all ending soon, and they promise us they know where it's going and how it's getting there - waiting it out will be worth it. They haven't done wrong by me so far so *fingers crossed*. I totally understand why some people tune out of it though. Especially if you watch it week to week. I find that having watched most of it on DVD with the exception of season 5 on TV, I'm in a better position than most viewers because I didn't have to wait and have time to mull over whether I was going to bother with it.

Yeah I never got the whole "Lost never answers anything" jam. That was true maybe 3 years ago, but the show was still new. It was too early to have everything laid out. Now, with one season left, most of the show's big questions have been answered, except for some biggies (Smoke monster, Jacob, role of the castaways in the grand scheme of things, among others). We know what makes the island tick, why it is special, who the Dharma initiative/Others really are.
I can understand why people give up on the series, because they wanted everything answered by the middle of Season 2, but this show takes a lot of patience. It's all about the ride.

^^^ I agree also. I almost got angry when the 3rd season was on b/c come on!! That season was just filler, but season 5 they gave us alot of answers. When there are millions or questions and you only get 10 answers it doesn't seem like alot, but they gave us some big ones. I expect season 6 to be full of answers, what else can it be?

I think season 3 was better than 4&5 to be honest. They're in a rush to answer things now, I miss the time they spent on characters.

I guess it all depends on how you look at it. I like answers and I felt like season 3 was a whole lot of four play and then nothing!! I just hope the end of the series lives up to all the hype. It is going to be hard. I just think the show has so much mystery how can you end it and make most people happy? I can't even think of an ending that would make me happy!

True that. It's going to be interesting watching the last 18 hours of this story. I'm already disappointed things like Libby's past will go unanswered.

Regarding Locke, there is absolutely no way that his story is done. There has been far too much set-up concerning his importance to the Island to make me believe that all he ever was meant to be was a "loophole".
Locke is one of the key elements of the show and arguably has the largest fanbase of any single character. There is no way that his story ended in season 5 with Ben strangling him in some motel room. The final season of Lost without the one, true Locke? I don't think so.
The way I see it, obviously he is currently dead but then again he was dead when he hit the floor after his dad pushed him out of the window and that didn't stop a touch from Jacob bringing him back to life again, albeit with a broken spine to set him on his path. Jacob somehow granted a massively extended, if not eternal life to Richard. What makes you think something along those lines isn't on the cards for Locke?
Also, and this is just a theory of mine but it makes a lot of sense, Locke has always been the flipside of Jack. John was the 'faith' to Jack's 'science' if you like. They have always been presented as two sides of the same coin. The very first shot seen on Lost was a close up of Jack's eye and the image of the eye has been used over and over again throughout the show as a recurring theme. Team Darlton have said that they have known for a very long time what the final image on the show would be and that the fans could probably figure it out with a little thought. I honestly believe that it will be a close up of John Locke's eye. The real Locke, that is. Not Smokey/Esau/FakeLockeWannabe. ;D

Hi folks, The Libby-Story was more or less answered in an interview Damon and Carlton have given, at least the part with the mental institution: spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2009/07/team-darlton-talk-lost.htmlRound about 06:48 minutes into the interview they start the subject and the final words on it around ninth minutes. The Interviewer has a very good theory about the ending of the show and Team Darlton seems impressed. ;D Beside: Did they ever answered the question, why the Others took Walt and what has been so "special" about him?

I seem to recall that the Others took Walt just to examine his special powers, we never found out more about his powers than that he could summon animals (The polarbear and the bird in 1x14, also there is a mobisode titled 'Room 23' where he made lots of birds crash into a wall). It seems to happen when he's under pressure or don't get enough attention. And oh yeah there is the scene where he tells Locke not open the hatch and that he has appeard in places he shouldn't have. I so hope Walt's character get's back in Season 6. It's important, the island can't be done with him.
