Me too,
but Team Darlton said so often through the run of the fifth season that they´re done with Walt´s storyline, which I hope is just a lie, to keep us surprised, when he pops up again. He is an important element, otherwise they wouldn´t have introduced him in the first season and make his kidnapping being the first seasons cliffhanger.

Yeah at some point we have to know why HE has those powers. And what does that 'special' stands for. Desmond got the flashes after the turning the failsafe key and Faraday said he was special because the 'rules' didn't apply to him.
I think these are things that will get annoying if we never get an answer.

Yep!
Besides Walt´s story could have been resolved already, because it doesn´t seem to be that important for the over-arching-scheme.

I think season 3 was better than 4&5 to be honest. They're in a rush to answer things now, I miss the time they spent on characters. i found season 3 to be a lot better than 4 and 5 aswell if i were to re-watch the series when it's finished, season 3 will be the more entertaining because of everything that's going on with the characters whereas seasons 4 and 5 will be giving me answers i already know about and not much character goodness

I didn't care much for Jack either but now after many rewatching I start to understand the character. And he has really changed since the end of season 5. He was always trying to fix everything, didn't have faith etc. Jack's dad knew him perfectly. "When you fail...You just don't have what it takes.." and that's what happend after he got some of them off the island, he broke. Now he's starting to believe in the island, Locke and might have end up changing things for the better. Have to wait on that. Plus isn't Jack kinda the most centric main character on the show? I think so.

Yeah, I think he is one of the most centric main characters, I guess.
But I think they ruined the character, for making Sawyer look better.
Jack was the reason why I got into the show and Sawyer was portrayed a lot amoral, e.g. keeping the inhaler of Shannon and risking her death. But over the course of the show (and I think because of J.J. Abrams leaving) they brought Sawyer into the "hero" position. I got that impression especially in the first six episodes of season three, when Abrams returned. In these episodes, Jack was more confident and his plans were working, instead of the rest of the time, where Jack plans and their outcome are, at least for some, miserable, as Damon Lindelof once said in a podcast.
But I hope he will get his big spotlight moment and a good closure.

Oh man I love Jack. After Wesley, he's one of my top favorite fictional characters. Easily the most developed character on the series (along with Locke and Sawyer).

I hate Jack as well. He just annoys me so much. He got thrust into the leadership role once, failed miserably, and ever since then acts like he's still the leader and bosses people around and augh - annoys me so much.
Then again, my favourite character is Locke, who lots of people seem to hate for whatever reason.

I guess people hate Locke, because he acts as a leader sometimes and bosses people around, too, but usually for his own purposes. In season 4 he tells Claire, that they are not living in a democracy, which makes him an unquestionable leader. But he´s leading through the Island because he wants to know what the Island means (to him). Jack in contrast always tries to boss around people, too, but because he wants to help people, like bringing all the people in the caves in season 1. That´s what pops up in my mind first.

That's essentially it. Jack's goal has always been to save everyone, whereas Locke's has always been to find out what his purpose on the island is. Even though Jack is my favorite character, I absolutely love Locke as well.

Yeah there are some characters that have the annoyng moments, but I have to admit there isn't really one character I hate on the show. I love Jack, Locke, Sawyer, Kate, Juliet, among others. I think this is the first show I ever watch with a large ensemble cast where I actually like each character. Unlike certain others ABC shows which will remain nameless. I even like Ben.

I agree, that is one of the reasons this show is so good. The only character I didn't like all the way through was Charlie, because they made him such an idiot in Season 2. He was obviously redeemed in Season 3 though, so it's all good.
